I feel that Harrison is extremely beneficial to our PP. curious to see the numbers with him Vs without, but I feel as if our PP dominates when he’s in the lineup and is missing when he is.

Great win but the most important thing is Greentree, hopefully, he is ok, always a scary scene when they are emphatically waving for the stretcher and paramedics immediately. No one in my seating area had any idea what exactly happened.

Outstanding game by Shane Wright. I always see people on these boards say they are glad their team didn't acquire him, well I'm glad our team did. He has 27 points in 13 games, astronomical numbers, and he is great defensively. Dionicio now has 38 points in 28 games since being acquired. Gotta give credit to Onuska who finally made some big saves when needed. Congrats to Maggio on 100 points, now at 103 points.

Sobolev was injured late in the game and seemed to really be struggling his leg, not a good sign. The squad could be without Harrison, Sobolev, Abraham, Greentree, and Spellacy on Wednesday.

Based on what Savard said on the radio pregame show, Harrison is about ready to go. Based on past history of injury updates, Savard's comment means nothing. Hopefully he will be back.

According to a friend of mine at the game, an ambulance left the arena, so speculation it was Greentree. The major concern is always an eye. He skated off with his head in a towel. Hopefully, we hear good news. An eye, of course could be career ending.

Under previous administrations with the Spits, they had a roster of 22 to 23 players. In good times, it is a shame to have healthy players in the press box and not playing somewhere, but in bad times (like now), the extra bodies are available.

For those fans who complain that the Spits never seem to benefit from calls by the referees, I happen to believe they did get a significant break. It was that long delay while the time issue was sorted out. That was like getting a free time-out.

He is a great player, he was however quite expensive. But if you want something of value you have to give something of value. Realistically there were not a lot of teams that were in a position to possibly make a trade like this workout. Windsor was one of them and time will tell us if it was worth it. BUT he is an excellent player and leader anyone who says differently is crazy.

Meidema, a second, a third, pair of fourths. The lower rounds are iffy in holding much value IMO. You’re about as likely to have a walk on (Peer, Xhekaj for KIT) hit as you are a 5th Rounder and beyond.

I’d pay the price over again, and add in a piece or two. I wasn’t that excited for him, but he’s changing my mind. I still think Johnston (03) last year was superior to Wright (04) this year, but I like Wrights 200ft game. This team needed it.

Onuska had a great game tonight making some key saves and looked way more confident with the glove than he has in a while. Good time for him to be heating up.

Hope to hear positive news on the Greentree front. Scary situation. And number of forwards aside, I truly hope he’s okay, or at least will be. He was on a knee going to block a second consecutive shot and got the follow thru of the stick, looked directly to the face.

A few thoughts on this one...

- First and foremost, I hope Greentree is okay. I didn't see how it happened, just him on the ice. For Savard to be standing on the boards, yelling, and Maggio to get the stretcher right away spoke volumes. I just hope the kid is going to be okay.
- As for the game itself - it's exactly what we anticipated. A playoff-style with good hitting, some solid offence, and the Rangers showing no quit. That's how every game will be from here-on-out, and rightfully so.
- Onuska played very well, which we all needed. This is the first game in a long time where he allowed fewer than four goals, which is a confidence booster.
- Wright... what more can you say? The hat-trick, steps up when they needed him to, and does it with such an ease. He's not flashy or "look at me" but will make you pay and then chuckle after. I'm very, very glad we have him on our side.
- Maggio... four point night, including his 100th this season and 49th goal. He's on another level right now and I'd LOVE to see him get 50 at home on Wednesday.
- Dionicio up front is a great idea if that's how it works out. Throw Jodoin on the D and let Dion run wild up front. He has the offence and speed to pull that off.
- One comment about the officiating - any idea why the review/situation in the third period took so long?
- While it was a closer game than the score would indicate, it was a bit of a character win. Down 3-2, they battled back and found a way. Right now, you take the points any way you can get them. If this is the first round match, that's a bit of a momentum boost.

Very little hitting by Windsor. Typical
And they have had many come from behind wins this year...

Agree about your comments re Greentree, hope he is okay.
Didnt realize Sobolev got dinged up again.
Solid team effort overall, great game by Wright and Maggio, 7 points between the 2 of them, throw in Dionicio he had 3 points too,he and Maggio have 13 points each in their last 6 games,Wright has 12 points,6 goals in his last 6 games, actually Christopoulos has 6 goals in his last 6 games.
Best game we have seen from Onuska in 3 months, last 10 starts before last night 4 or more goals against in each one,1st game in 12 with save percentage above 900,good to see, while I dont think he should be #1 ,I also want 2 guys capable of playing down the stretch.
Spits now 3-2-0-1 in their last 6,interesting to hear at Spits post game that Maggio fought thru a bout of pneumonia recently but carried on,true leader.
Busy week ahead home Wednesday vs Saginaw, then a double dip at SSM Friday and Saturday nights.
Let's hope everyone heals for the final push for the conference standings may come down to final 2 vs London.

Well the invisible, marginal ghost scored 3 goals last night. Hovering right around 2 points a game. Not bad for a player nobody wanted .

Go back and read some of the other teams threads on Jan 8th. Some of the teams fans were already forming a circle they were so excited they thought they were getting him. They can continue to be jealous if they wish but Windsor is happy to have Shane Wright on their team.
Another thing I noticed from Wright was the key face-off wins. That is a real bonus that he brings and will pay dividends as they enter the playoffs.

Seems Kitchener lost last night because they were missing players. Windsor was missing key players as well but if we mention that we get jumped on for mentioning "factors".

Did not see what happened to Greentree but really hope he is OK. Don't like to see any player go down like that. They also need to change the rule on when they blow the whistle. This waiting until the Team gets possession of the puck is a dumb rule. Any team, any kid goes down blow the frigging whistle! Every second can be a big deal so why the H wait!

Did not see Sobelev get hurt so hopefully he is OK? He was hitting everything that moved last night and this team needs more of that.

Go Spits Go!!!

I agree to a point on blowing the whistle. Officials need to quickly assess the seriousness of the injury. However, we all know that if the whistle is blown everytime a player appears to be injured, faking injuries would be happenning constantly. Would be right there with diving, embellishment and dislodging the net.

The slewfoot call on Valade sucks. Him being out hurts, especially going in thinking you have him. I guess by rule, it was a slewfoot, but was totally unintentional, and not malicious. The 5 minute penalty swung the momentum and Kitchener having to be without Valade was equivalent to us losing Dionicio the other night.

I thought officiating was good last night. I don’t like that call, but as a ref I don’t think you can call that as anything else without getting chewed out. Personally would’ve been fine with a 2 minute trip and carry on.

Benefit Spits on that one, we needed the two points so I’ll take it.

Hopefully the close game fired up the rangers and they can take a W from the Sting to give us a little breathing room. Wouldn’t mind a NB win today either.

It’s such a fun time of year, especially when Windsors near the top as it gives me a reason to watch some other games around the league with a preferred outcome.

I’m sure we’ll be missing bodies Wednesday, but Parekh and Misa for Saginaw have remained out.

Windsor won a sluggish game. Kept pace with other teams.
They didn't play well till last half of the 3rd.
Hopefully Greentree is ok.
Wright with hatrick.
Unuska played well.
Defense wasn't good.
Not much physical play by Windsor.
Maggio 1 goal away from 50. Maybe then he can start playing some defense?

Greentree required stitches around the eye but no damage to his eye itself as per Savard thankfully. Still don't know why there was not a penalty on the play. Follow through contact unintentional or not is a penalty. It came from the shooters stick so how could both refs not see it? They are either negligent not calling it or negligent if both say they never saw it. It was not like a behind the play incident. Good grief. I know non-call highsticking is not reviewable but maybe it should be say when blood is obviously drawn.
