Horrible defense in the 2nd.... really horrible!!......Seem's coaching staff just does not care to address it at all during the week

5 goals was enough. Not a good recipe.
Not a defensive game.
However a win is all that matters with London n Sarnia winning.

A solid win. Defensively they were solid in the 3rd period with Guelph's lone goal occurring in a 5 on 3. Guelph had a whopping 10 power plays. Christopooulis had 3 goals, Wright 3 points, Maillet 4 points against his former squad.

Well 2 points but ugly at times. Impressed by Castle and Smith tonight. Smith coming back deep to help the zone exit . Great games by 48, 16, 51 shockingly 7 goals for, Maggio 2 pts and was a zero. Renwick-1 . Neither impressive tonight Maggio has scoring title fever. Way too many penalties by the team. PP not good. Lucky we were playing a lower seed team. Tons to still work on. We had early puck luck or this could have been another loss. Joey so so. Not great, not horrible. This team appears to have given up on 1st place and is content coasting into the playoffs. Problem is that switch to ramp it up again is not as easy to activate as they appear to think it might be. Hoping fir a better game tomorrow. Rather see a 1-0 win this time of year than a 7-4 win.

Agree O'Flaherty brought more physical play than Castle. Numbers even. Castle has more offensive potential by far and was brought in for next year. His numbers will be good next year when he is likely a top 6 forward. His play is streaky at best but looks in place when he is out fir a shift with a top forward like Wright or Maggio
Nice to see O'Flaherty score his 1st-2 goals as an Ice Dog tonight even though they lost 6-3 in Hamilton.
Bronson Ride had an assist on one of O'Flaherty's goals.
O'Flaherty now has 2G,1A in 32 games for Niagara, Ride has 3G,7A in 32 games, should mention Miedema continues to struggle in Kingston in 25 games he has 1G,9A ,10 points.
O'Flaherty has only 2 goals in his last 47 games played while Miedema only has 1 in his last 33 games played.
Interesting Donicio has 10G,25A in 27 games for Windsor and he has more goals by 4 and points by 12 then the 3 players above combined and those guys have played 89 games combined.

I think Meidema will be fine. His numbers here benefited from his quality of linemates. He’s another one, (while I stand by my excitement to move him), that was adding a bit of physicality at the end of his tenure here.

I was hoping Sudbury could help us out last night by pulling off the comeback, no such luck. However, London’s almost looking as sloppy as we are.

In order to win the division, the Spits just have to take care of business. In order to win the conference, we may need some help.

Our last two games vs. London ends the season for us, while the Knights have Kitchener that Sunday. Basically we have to be up 2 points on the Knights before that 3/26 to get the conference. If we’re tied after playing them, or up by a point, we leave our fate in the hands of the Rangers.

Spits need to buckle down and control their own destiny.

Any chance we’ll get an additional guy on the front end tonight? May be worth having 4 lines. La Salle advanced and doesn’t start up Round 2 until Wednesday. (They played Sunday/Wednesday/Friday). Is their weekly game totals started Sunday? Monday? Or just a 7 Day span.

Have to imagine they roll with Onuska tonight. Expecting each goalie to get one vs Soo & London with the Wednesdays (Saginaw/Guelph) alternating.

Should have no trouble bringing anyone up from La Salle, could see McManus and Davis put in with McLlwain coming out.
Davis had 2 assists in their game last night vs Chatham, as did Birkett,McManus had a goal and an assist, and Ethan Martin had a goal and 2 assists in the 6-3 win.
Myself I hope they go back to Costanzo, instead of Onuska, and yes some will say double standard that I complained about back to back appearances last week,my answer if u can do it to one guy,do it to the other, besides Costanzo has been much better at home then on the road this year, only 1 regulation loss, but no losses as a starter.

Ok so take the win. Cant be happy with GA tho! First 2 problematic for sure. Anyone notice Mags will not engage the man with the puck in our zone? His speed easily has him capable of getting to the player yet he didnt, also on Joey tho, left the entire far side open. Its become a habit with Mags not the first or second time ive seen him do it. Second goal was soft. The goals allowed right after we score must stop!!!!
Again refereeing brutal against Windsor! Its brutal in general but damn its painful to watch. Way to many brain farts, passes to soft or hard or off the mark, giveaways, misplays in the O zone. This offence would be scary if they could put 60 minutes in game to game!!
Great to see Peer back, that speed!!
Also noticed a bit more physical presence, lets hope that continues, it really doesnt take much to help immensely! Finish some checks, get a couple big hits in and dont take the abuse after whistles. That will clean up most of the BS other teams are dishing.
Be ready to go tonight, id like to see 60 minutes of solid hockey address the stuff above and get your heads right boys!!

Agree with everything you wrote, 10 PPs for the opposition ridiculous especially considering Windsor averages approximately 3.5 per game.
Interesting record, after last night Windsor is now 33-0-0-1 when leading after 2 periods of play.

I noticed and commented on Maggio zero effort to engage and commented it on here right after ot happened. Disgusting imo. Johnston last year and Wright this year do not give up on plays defensively even though they are "stars" .

Windsor did have 6 pp themselves..

Geesh. The refs were horrible both ways. It is funny how some feel the PP chances should always be close. Windsor could have had more penalties called against them and so could have Guelph. Guelph also gets the most PP chances in the league so that must come down to a style they play.

The hold/pull on Christopolous was a penalty. Renwick held up, did not take the players feet out into the boards. That’s was not a penalty. 9-7 is better than 10-6. It’s as easy as that.
I'm sure Guelph could argue about a couple no calls too.
Even when Windsor wins, refs must be a excuse somehow...

We do seem to see the game alike cherrydon. Theres still lots to clean up and little time to get it done!
Talking about traded guys. Yep feel terrible for anyone playing in the Falls. Miedema, not sure why everyone still thinks hes got it. Didnt do much here, doing less in kingston with more ice. Hes dropping like a stone on every rating board ive seen. Some kids just dont have it!
