Goalie starts would be Joey, Joey, Onuska. At least my thinking anyway. First 2 games are not back to back and the toughest game will be Sunday in London at 2pM after playing Saturday in Saginaw. This way Onuska goes into the game rested. He is use to playing there so that start should be his. Now if Onuska starts Thursday I might just throw something!

A trade deadline championship means nothing - now the work starts.
I think people will be disappointed once they exit in the second round. BB should have got a Goalie or a D. If he really wanted a forward then He should have went after one with jamb. Shane will not be a game changer for Windsor in my opinion.

They got Wright for a few reasons.
- They really didn't have to give up a ton to get him (kept Cristoforo)
- Keeps him off London
-Last year they felt if they had McTavish they would have won that series against Hamilton (and they would have). They view Wright as this year's McTavish.

Also, Bowler got 2 D lol.

Sure, best player in the league isn't a game changer. Thanks for your opinion, but the adults are trying to discuss something here. Go see if there's some cartoons on or something while we finish up, there should be some pudding cups in the fridge.

BB Got 2 defenders - and he is showing faith in the 17 year old goalie he stole from Niagara.

Even if Shane Wright isn’t a “game changer” (whatever that means, would appeicuate if you would expand on that, it’s too broad to have any meaningful discourse about.) He is a major upgrade on Miedema who many on here - especially me were down on.

Like anything post deadline - it’s Wait and see. Too early to say anything with any amount of certainty. You’d be a fool to say otherwise.

I seriously gotta ask, are some of yall EVER happy with the Spits!? I swear there's always something negative no matter what they do.

Come 1st, win a round, win 2 rounds, win 3 rounds, be great again, acquire multiple good players then acquire argubaly the best player without giving up Christiforo & there's still stuff to nitpick!?

It's maddening to read while also borderline impressive lmao

i dont remember a player saying anything bad when they get traded to another team.
they mind their p's and q's
time to get to work.

Honest question - would you rather he said "I don't want to go to Windsor"?

Newbie, who’s your kid on Windsor?
I’m not going to get into it with you, obviously you don’t know much.

he stated the pretty standard message that has been said by others in the past from other players that have been traded to teams.
nothing more, nothing less.

Im not sure but I think Windsor is top 3 for GF?
I’d go after a goalie and a solid D, not the d’s that they traded for. Del Mastro or a Hache D

So... what would you have preferred he said? From all I've seen so far, the kid is legitimately happy to be here, but you tell me what he could have said to make YOU go "okay, yeah, he's actually happy to be here."

Windsor is currently first in the OHL and second in the CHL (behind Halifax, who has 170+).

Omg disappearing posts again on this site while typing them?!?!
Ok so who is 2023 and where did he come from? Very few posts until recently. Maybe 7’s brother?? Lol
I wanted D and got both. Wanted one with grit, im told that Dionicio. Stacked up front. One question is a second goalie. Could still be rectified if he needs replacing, if not O becomes back up and lets go!
No argument this could make or break BB rep, guess we see.

So my info on this trade makes it sound like a circus! BB definitely stood his ground and in fact flexed a bit if any of my info is right. Teams tried to play some games and it hurt them not us. Not much to share as it may expose some people but know this, he handled some teams very well.
Im cautiously optimistic for sure.

I know that Bowler gave a nod to the Fronts for how everything went in discussion. Seems like it was a complicated process but they got it to work.

It used to be a lot worse prior to "the great humbling" of 2022 I assure you.

You'd think some of these fans were commenting on the bottom half of OHL Franchises… For many teams - a game 7 finals loss is as close as they'd get for a decade. Shift into rebuild mode, fail that a couple times and then maybe have another shot at a deep run.

The Spits went to Game 7 of the OHL Finals, the following year are the Western Conference Favorites, and have the best crop of 06' born players in the league setting up for a solid 24/25 as well…

Bowler also seems to have an eye for talent. Spits pick at 19 and get Christoforo. How does he get missed by other teams? And then he gets Greentree and Spellacy. Some luck involved for sure but very impressive. Now he has missed on others but all teams miss, some more than others. All 3 are back next year. My stand pat went out the window but the keep Christoforo made it through the deadline!
