Wright said the right things like most players would but he had a ntc. If he didn’t want to come here, he didn’t have to.

Will it work? No clue but it’s exciting to see and hopefully there’s no side deals to see the next core (Greentree, Spellacy, Costanzo, Christoforo) grow

For sure he wanted to come. These folks posting on other boards saying anything else dont know jack! It irritates me when people speak out of turn! Yes he was in on the decision, yes there were multi teams. He CHOSE to come here. Now lets enjoy his talent up close!

And, choosing to come here is not mutually exclusive. It doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have gone elsewhere either if it was on his list and the deal with Kingston was better.

Happy he is here.

The one positive for me is not having to be frustrated watching Miedema anymore. It hasn’t been as bad as it was early in the season but the same issues as always persist.

He is going to be a great player for Kingston And in this league and I wish him the best moving forward - hopefully he can find that next gear.

Boy our cupboards are depleted. We have Mailiet, Christopoulos, Peer, Holmes (depending on Dallas) to recoup some picks but won't help with this years Priority Draft. Do we sell off '04's as well?
When the trade window re-opens before the draft, I assume we will be trading our 2027 picks (2 for1 deals) just to be able to draft this year.

Abraham should bring back a good amount of picks - I imagine we‘ll clean out the roster. Before the draft.

Go Spits Go!!!

Yes agreed

On another note

Last year during the Spits acquired 6 players by way of trade,3 from the West,Maillet,Perrott and Onuska, and 3 from the East,Christopoulos, Ribau and
Currie
This season during the schedule 7 players picked up from the East
Costanzo, Dionicio, Castle, Holmes,Johnston,Harrison and Wright.
And none from the West.
We did pickup a player from the West in the summer, forward Colton Smith from London.

Not surprisingly but ticket sales are heavy. may be close to a sell out.

I'd expect a good uptic in sales thru the season. Added 2 name Fs, one a big name. Should help the atmosphere n bottom line to add an extra 1000 per game ( or whatever it ends up being)
If people but season paxkage now do they get first dibs on PO seat? I'm sure if so those #s go up also.
Fun time to be a Spits fan I'm sure.

Hello Spits fans. I'm a Fronts fan and want to say that I hope Shane Wright lights it up big time for you guys. There seemed to be a lot of Wright haters across a lot of these boards that assume all the wrong things about him. The Fronts are going nowhere this year so I"m cheering for the Spits to go all the way. Go Spits!!

Take care of Miedema for us. He's a good kid with an incredible ceiling. Hopefully he does wonders!

As for Wright - from what I've seen so far, he's fitting in well. Can't wait to see what happens tonight.

We are too, so thanks!
Miedema should be able to shine with you guys, He struggled to get the big time minutes here. If he gives it all each shift, he should really be something for you

I heard a lot of rumored attitude issues with Wright prior to the trade. I'm sure any player getting send to the OHL after playing some NHL games is going to have a little bit of a chip on their shoulder. Hard not to have that "What else do I have to prove here" after a few successful seasons in the O.

I saw the press conference. I was watching body language more than I was listening to the words and I don't get that at all from Wright. Seems like he's happy to be in Windsor, has a few connections already to some guys which helps, and looks hungry to prove he can bring in an OHL Championship.

I like to bounce around seats at the arena, period to period and get some space if stuff gets crowded… I'm thinking that's not going to be the case tonight eh? (or for the rest of the season)

Should be a good competitive game, I expect most want Windsor to be dominate, but Saginaw's still in this race.

Will be close to a sell-out, ie 6,200+. Good to see as three of the last four home games had 5,500+. I noticed Ottawa only had 2,400 at their game last night, yikes.

Because it was all a load of BS & it always has been. U never heard anything until he fell to 4th then all of a sudden it was because attitude issues. He wouldn't of been Captain of the fronts, captain of team Canada if he was this terrible kid.

Sure maybe he's cocky. What 17-18 yr old wouldn't be with how the last couple years has gone for him. It felt like team Canada players made a point to mention how awesome of a leader & teammate he was.

His biggest issue often times is he plays to safe & to responsible instead of taking over games with his elite skillset. Not sure u can even really call that a problem lol it can just be annoying at times more than anything.

6200 tickets sold is good for the owners
they can sit back and watch the money pile in.
