For offense, Windsor must be in the top 2 in the league now.
Hopefully wright is motivated and stays healthy.
the offense will have to carry them.
they have a great chance.
Well they do lead the league in goals for and were before adding the 5 players in the last week, plus Abraham who hasn't played in 5 weeks, was 2nd in team scoring points when he got hurt,2 new D,6 players with offense capabilities when Abraham returns,a goalie currently in top 5 for goals against average and top 2 in save per centage, what's not to like moving forward.
I see a big uptick and improvement in both special teams areas as well, with the new D and forwards, and Costanzo continuing his way.

Trading 19 wasnt so far fetched was it...
I’d do it again too! 😂

Realistically, I know Meidema had higher value than what I valued him at - but really didn’t think he’d be the key piece into bringing in an exempt-player who produced 150 pts in 121 games (At 15 & 17 - no 16, cause Covid)

I was against bringing Wright in for a few reasons.

Cost being the major one. And looking at it - I’m fine with it. Hopefully he has a good attitude and fits in well with the club. Hopefully Meidema, O Flaherty and Ride heading out doesn’t mess up the room.

IMO, the biggest key to a unified room is winning. They were performing well prior to the trades and have gotten much stronger. The only question mark in my mind is Goal. Costanzo is young but very talanted and Onuska has a track record in the playoffs. Game on.

I think it was a good value trade for Windsor. Went for less than I thought. He will improve the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see another with these teams sometime next year.
Wish LK coulda got one of Harrison or Wright. BB went big. Good on him and unexpected to many here I'm sure. I think he made the right choice to add big.

I keep seeing people spouting doom about “if we don’t get a defenseman”…, or “If we don’t get a goalie…”

Stop. This team is loaded. Look where they are now. Onuska took them all the way to the league final, and Costanzo is a top 10 goalie in the league at 17. They’ve added Holmes and Dionicio on defense.

An insurance add? Sure, but this team is good enough as-is to win the league already

Windsor should be able to win the west now.

Watch the fans all of a sudden go to games now...
Time will tell

After some lean years attendance wise the fans last playoffs and this year have returned, not quote to the level of the Hall/Ellis years but certainly a tonne better than the previous 5 or 6, the real work will be the next 2 or 3 years to retool and rebuild and to see if the fans support threw it.

I’d love to go to more games, but I’m on permanent noons. My Dad and Brother and I had seasons going back to the end of the barn, through to a few years after the back-to-back, but it got too hard with work.

I have little ones now, and want to continue what my Dad and Grandpa did for us with nights at Spits games, but I have to hope to be able to switch shifts. It’s tough

Mintyukov went to Ottawa for 3-2nds, 4-3rds, 2-4ths

Dann went to Flint for 2nd, 2-3rds, 3-4ths

I guess Dann will likely be back but I doubt Mintyukov will be… seeing a couple of our 03s/04s head to Kingston over the summer wouldn’t surprise me.
