Pace is listed at 5’10” and 170. Ive heard his parents were concerned about his physicality but he’s certainty big enough.
Thats a lot of goodwill players out lol. Must be quite a few along for the experience. They do need a solid backup and a 3rd goalie, i assume Frogett gets the backup. We all bitched about how thin they were last year maybe some of the bodies help alleviate that…
Not another peep about asst coach from anyone. Still hoping the name i heard is in play.

The one big thing they need this season is defensive depth. They had plenty of help up front if injuries occurred (Davis, Martin, McLlwain, etc), but, outside of Woodall, nothing much on D. They had names but they weren't signed or couldn't come?

That's what I was thinking; 56 players in total, if my math is correct, including 11 FAs. I get the idea of favours and goodwill and such but that seems excessive. Most are 05s and 06s so maybe one can sneak in like Peer did two seasons ago?
Your math is correct,11 free agents
1G,4D,6F listed.
Totals,8G,18D,30F.
Last year only Joseph Delaurentis (USA) of all the players Windsor drafted didn't come to camp.
This year of 15 players drafted in the 3 drafts again only 1 player not coming to camp Easton Pace(USA).
As well I notice a pick from last year is not listed for camp dman Evan Sofikitis (USA).
He is 17 years old, headed for USHL.
Should note that last years 1st round pick from the U18 draft dman Cameron Eke is not listed, though he is committed to a US college.

WINDSOR
Never know with a free agent. Overlooked originally, injury during draft year, not grown into body yet. Nonetheless Peer is recent proof that a free agent can be an incredible find. Based on his actual performance he should have been a 2nd rounder in his draft year. Yes all hindsight but proof the FA'S are worth a solid look and not just roster bodies to fill out training camp.

Good points made Cherrydon, especially with a thin drafting board in terms of numbers this past drafts,we drafted 19 or 20 players in the 3 drafts last year, this year 15 or 16 total,a couple of surprises would be nice preferably 2 of each from the D and F spots .
Bacik though turning 19 in Nov is intriguing
a Captain in Chatham just turning 18,plays with some bite,Hihn at 17 could be interesting nice size-6'1-205,aggressive with some offense, upfront I am curious to see how Rimmer and Protopapas work out, impressive numbers where they played, plus showing some aggression.
Will admit surprise, they invited a goalie with 7 other goalies, though he is 6'5-175,and had strange numbers 4.64 goals against but a 902 save percentage, tells me he is a helluva goalie that had no support, u don't avearge 4.64 and be 902 in save percentage, will want to see him in action.

Lmao. Byproduct of BB’ers tight lipped ways! Im hearing nothing outta there. Its all from other sources. He doesnt have many connections which hurts in many ways but it keeps the info quiet lol. Ive posted all i can which aint much. Some of the guys been skating together like always. Even the players just shrug when ive asked. Its a problem but BB refuses to open up even a bit. Lack of communication has been an ongoing issue with many folks i talk to.

Prediction
We will know tomorrow.
Now that a head coaching job has been announced in Vancouver of the WHL, I am sure former Spitfire Matt Cooke will be named as the new assistant coach.

It's just a 180 from Rychel, where you heard a dozen different names and it resulted in a dozen pages of discussion. Bowler's rep isn't a secret but I know there's activity going on.

Spitfires have hired Mike Dukeshire as a new scout. He was a scout with the Colts for the last four seasons and is the current GM of the Georgetown Raiders, entering his third season this fall. He'll be responsible for the SCTA/OMHA.

How do you know there's activity is what he's asking. I mean the head coaching search it's safe to say there wasn't much activity.

I know because this isn't the only place where there is talk about the team.

In general, it's been an adjustment going from Rychel's megaphone-style GMing to Bowler's "complete silence until explosion" style. However, with a week to go until camp, and some chatter out there, I'm not worried. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet... but I'm not worried. Now, if they start camp without a new coach, then that's a different ballgame.
