That was a fantastic afternoon; from the organization to the players, the fans to everyone else, very, very well done. I don't know how much they told Jones about the event beforehand but he got very emotional when he came out pregame. Definitely brought some tears to the crowd.

From NHL stars to Maggio/Cuylle/Johnston being on the same line at times to DiPietro putting on a show, you couldn't have asked for much more, hockey wise. It sounds like over 200k was raised (so I'm told), which is amazing to see. It shows you what the community can do when they need to come together. Well done, everyone!

Good cause brings all hands on deck, they even looked east up the 401 for bodies;)
Glad it went well.

The last thing I heard from the team was when head coach Jerrod Smith was hired in late July. Bowler was asked about a rumour that Wright was eligible for either the NHL or OHL. He said that he didn't know where the rumour was from and, as far as he knew, it was NHL, AHL, or OHL. I haven't heard anything since.

Pretty solid source here says its wide open he can play anywhere. My source agrees but added nothing will be said about it unless he doesn’t make the show.
BB is waiting do long he’ll say he had no choice but to hire family lol. In all seriousness ive heard another name id be ok with.

They didn't go expensive for hc, so I assume they won't for a assistant..
 
There is 1 name still in the running. Hes weighing all options. But if its him i think everyone would be ok with it. Pro player. Ex spit. …. Its info from someone else.

That's what I was thinking; 54 players in total, if my math is correct, including 11 FAs. I get the idea of favours and goodwill and such but that seems excessive. Most are 05s and 06s so maybe one can sneak in like Peer did two seasons ago?
