Should have never been public. Handled in the locker room. Poor coaching there.

I wonder if it was noticed by a member of the media (Nylander walking in late) and brought up in front of a media filled room? Then they had to address it. It just doesn't seem like something an organization would come out with. Like why would that even have to be brought up?

Please list the players who have thrived since leaving Toronto?

Kadri is the same Kadri we knew we had when he was traded with the same little warts to his game and Kapanen as well. We got decent returns for both. Both were cap casualties as well.

Unless your going back to someone like Larry Murphy, Alex Steen or Steve Sullivan... than I'm unsure who these places whom have thrived elsewhere are.

All teams have the types of losses.
Don't know where you get this nonsense from Kadri took the Avs on his shoulders when Nate went down and has been in the top tier of faceoff wins all year , bad example man , I'll take a 4.5 million Kadri over a 7 million Nylander every day all day .

You’d have to assume this is an escalation to go public. The coaches know the minute you put a guy in a grey jersey it’s a controversy, so I seriously doubt this is a one off. But who really knows.

They sent him out in a grey jersey and then had to explain why. Bad move by Keefe

I feel like it shouldn't have been made public because now you have a bit of a losing streak and commentary from the 'peanut gallery' about Keefe's disciplinary effectiveness and perceived tension, drama. If it's an issue, discipline him decisively without practice drama and move on. Scratch or don't scratch. Bag skate or don't bag skate. Fine or don't fine.

What are you talking about?? I responded to a poster saying traded leaf players are thriving on other teams.

Kadri had a 55% face-off win percentage his last season in Toronto. Which is a better average than he has now.

He isn't thriving in Colorado, he is playing the same he did when he was in Toronto.

As someone who knows commercial values and investments. Who is the best in the world, who sucks etc...

That shi... is important.

Micheal Nylander was very talented, yet, he milked the NHL, out of every possible dollar.

Takes guts to take on the NHL, lots.

Willy is sick talented, but like a guy I watched carefully. He wants to have a full life after he retires, running with kids etc...

I respect, that. He has that much talent. But like his dad, this guy is a young, going bald, still good looking ceo.

I don't think he would command much in a trade. Pretty well known, he is a highly skilled guy, who cannot wait to take the summer off.

NHLers don't make much of anything in the playoffs.

Trading for Foligno, and if we have hymie for the playoffs, will be some fun to view.

Nylander, has been a huge family success. But as a Leaf, he will never be what you want.

But he is honest, he has never once said he wants a Stanley Cup.

Nor did his dad, they both just teased and mesmerized, their teammates, management and whoever they needed to inflate their value.

Me..... I would wait for a bloated market, him going on a tear, and trade him. My return.... doubt I would get anything.

Notice Nylander competing hard tonight? I sure do. Maybe he feels guilty, regardless. Put that into perspective, Nylander holds this team hostage to some degree, he decides when to show up and why. Im done with Nylander, he doesnt give a bleep about winning because he does not attempt to pull his share of the rope or try and be the best player he can each night.

This fanbase doesn't deserve him holy shit.

Few guys in the league are able to bring ‘it’ every shift (Hyman being one of them) - fans need to appreciate Willy for what he is. Switch him and Marner in the lineup, and I would be very surprised if their numbers also didn’t flip.

As I type this, he just sets up JT. How can you not appreciate this guy as a Leaf.

Nylander is dominating, with an ease thats scary. I think Marner, Matthews, Tavares, Keefe are going holy bleep who is this guy and why doesnt he do this daily. Nylander is skating and mentally engaged, this is 100% NYlander, doesnt seem like people here notice the 60% Nylander.

Can we really blame Willy here? A young, rich, famous athlete, it's game-hotel-practice all year, he and a bunch of them are probably going stir crazy.

As long as he delivers when it counts, he can sit around the pool and chase the muff around.

Sports agents..... supervise pretty much everything.

All I am willing to say. I will say, some of them are outstanding.

I mean nutrition, investments, rehab, cronies dd all the way down, the works.

The best agents, they really go the extra mile.

They rule the roost in a lot of ways.

Very good gm's are wise, these guys get red carpet, same for their clients.

The Barabanov trade, was intelligent by Dubas. Same for Barabanov's agent.

Maybe you should be done with the team dude.

A client of mine, who gambles a lot, loves Nylander. Wins more than he loses.

Does Nylander make him any money..... I never ask that kind of stuff.

All I will say, he was one of many, who didn't jump out to help Hyman. Nylander.

Maybe the remaining Canucks are the nicest NHLERS.....

But if I was coaching, there would be a tooth around my neck by the first intermission

Couldn't agree more, being an ex coach. Publicly embarassing a guy, if keefe wre tough, take him out, let him take the first punch

Calling him out to the media, brutal.

If you are too old and tubby like Keefe, sit him for a spell.

Keefe lost a lot of fans over in EUROPE, believe you me on that one.

Nylander is a great player, but being so talented, so cool, so calm, every coach, who never had any coffee's in the show, is going to ultimately hate him.

If I would have the honour of coaching Willy. I would love to explore some different strategies.

He is for sure, a conventional in the box, coach killer

WOW, great goal by jt.

Encouraging thing about NYLANDER, is that he has beefed up a lot.

Now that might be, self preservation Wanting to survive.

Could be, but the guy is a lotta beef now.

I want to see him TOM WILSON a guy once in a while. As Gordie Howe said, you have to earn a little room out there.
