It would be pretty odd if he flippantly disregarded covid protocol/safety and then voluntarily admitted it.

Same question:
What is it you know about the situation that you can confidently state it wasn't his fault?

I didn't say that. What I said was, what I said.

Ok, so you agree that it's possible that he may have made a decision that directly led to him to being placed in Covid Protocol? (and I'm not definitively saying that was the case, just that it's not out of the question)

Of course it's possible.

It would also be pretty odd if he flippantly disregarded covid protocol/safety and then voluntarily admitted it, and the team didn't punish him for it or make a big deal out of it.

We don't know exactly what happened.

What's your deal? Why are you coming at me like this? I'm guessing you really want to believe something here.

Trot him out in a grey jersey, raise awareness that he was late for a meeting, say he may not play......play him anyway.

Keefe showing his inexperience again.

yup, entitlement plain and simple.

Just a lack of foresight and experienced management on Keefe's part

I mean I get it that they pretty much need a win tonight, and with Hyman and Mik out, they need Nylander in the line up.

Knowing that, just keep the lateness quiet and deal with it privately rather than making a show of it yesterday.

Reminds me of parents that are "going to count to 3" and once they do, nothing happens.

Personally I would double shift him instead of sitting him out.

That seems a bit of a reach considering nobody in this thread knows what went on behind the scenes between player and staff ect or even the context behind him being late to begin with.
I don’t even care. Wins matter more. I’m not judge, jury and executioner I don’t care very much lol. :)

Scratching players for showing up late to practices or meetings in the league is almost an automatic regardless of who the player is, isn't it? Not sure why it's being so heavily speculated

This is why I give credit to Torts... he puts respect for the team above winning. I think like good defense leads to offense, the same can be said - holding players accountable lead to more wins.

I feel like fostering a winning culture entails winning games, which we would do more often by rewarding good play on the ice, and playing our best players.

Ending up in the media and discussed by fans on message boards by being late to a meeting is why some players tend to thrive after leaving Toronto. Everyone here has been late to something once in a while. We all appreciate and rally around those who support us when we make mistakes instead of publicly ridicule us.

If it's a recurring theme, fine. If not, f*** off with this stupidity.

Please list the players who have thrived since leaving Toronto?

Kadri is the same Kadri we knew we had when he was traded with the same little warts to his game and Kapanen as well. We got decent returns for both. Both were cap casualties as well.

Unless your going back to someone like Larry Murphy, Alex Steen or Steve Sullivan... than I'm unsure who these places whom have thrived elsewhere are.

All teams have the types of losses.
