What's that I see? Nylander a PPG on the series?
Never doubted him for a second.
Never doubted him for a second.
nah man JT needs that more than he does lol dude is on a serious PR improvement right nowsomebody needs to tell gary
i always think dubas biggest mistake is that he said he'll never trade willy....but if he continues to do what he does in playoffs....I can see why.
what is this sushi boy reference too
gotta give to the man he has a strong sense on fashion.
He had food poisoning before a game early in the series.what is this sushi boy reference too
Surprised he wasn't braided with prosciutto in his hand. Love this f***ing guy.
I think you're right, but let's not take it away from JT. If not for that, the only really good plays he's made all series were the assists on Willy's goal in game 4, and Rielly's goal tonight, which was a beauty. You're right it did. Just checked the highlights on sportsnet youtube account
Looked that way to me also. I hope I'm wrong as I'd really like to see JT get on the board but doesn't matter too much.Looking at the replay more carefully, I think the JT goal actually went off of the TB dman's skate. It should be credited to Nylander.
Nylander can duck out of every hit along the boards as far as I'm concerned if he continues to take the puck to the net. The second one is much harder and takes tree trunk leg strength. Why get beat up by defenceman bigger than you for very low gains just to please some dude on HFBoards, when you can stay healthy and crash the net instead and please the entire Leafs Nation. When you're among league leaders in the playoffs for crashing the net, I think you earn the right to decide if you want to be on the receiving end of a nothing hit at the end of your shift.
Other players want that same benefit, beast up like Nylander and make some power moves.
Low gains is the key. He has taken a hit or 2 to make a pass this series, high gains.Nylander can duck out of every hit along the boards as far as I'm concerned if he continues to take the puck to the net. Hasn't worked al year and guaranteed Keefe goes back to itLike I told you guys Willy got impacted by JT there for a game or two .. move Willy away from JT and bingo bango WOW WOW WOW .. Willy starts to dominate again .. way to go Willy da big guy
I don't think so .. a smart coach stays with what works .. da issue we have in Tampa is we lose last change and matchups .. so bottom line what should happen is JT should lose some ice time and Willy's line should play line 2 minutes .. but that's what a super smart coach would do .. but JT is captain and give him credit those 2nd and 3rd periods last night were damn good .. to me I would start with same lineup in game 6 and play a highly defensive opening 20 minutes careful not to give up serious chances on net .. wait for Tampa to scramble and push offense and then counterattack .. but that's just meJust show that kind of effort more often and he'll be a hero here

Comes down to checkers versus chess.Low gains is the key. He has taken a hit or 2 to make a pass this series, high gains.
Last night actually made him the clear cut leader for taking a hit to make a play.
Don't even have to go as far as game 5. Later in that game he scrummed it up in the crease and scored 2 goals. Saved energy for a possible come backComes down to checkers versus chess.
If he does something that makes you go huh? remember he's 1000x smarter than you at the game of hockey. Have faith it's part of a bigger plan, like saving himself to win game 5.
