Unbelievable that this guy is going to make almost $8M next season, good god
He needs to work at getting his shot off quicker. He gets in good positions but takes too long to shoot. Whether it's mental or physical, it needs to be addressed.
He got his money; now he can retire while still working and cripple the team.Unbelievable that this guy is going to make almost $8M next season, good god
He's quite an enigma. After playing miserable for first 1.5 seasons, he looked like a real deal. A genuine power forward talent in full bloom. Suddenly he's reverted back to old bad habits. What we saw and what he was paid for does not justify a return to the former goals, where it was nice if he ends up as a 45 point version of Josh Anderson.Remember when Tanking meant picking up big talents on ELCs and taking advantage of an artificially low cap hit?
Slafkvosky is so special, and such a unicorn, that we’ve basically forced to accept the inverse. “Sure, it seems likely to continue coasting and generally being disengaged for years to come — he’s tall, you can’t expect a tall player to play hockey like players slightly shorter than them —but I bet you by the end of his eight year contract he will probably be worth his salary!”
Poor kid is only in his third NHL season. He’s practically a fawn. A baby. He has no bearings, no help, nothing. We need to rally together and never, ever expect him to play like a good hockey player. That’s just cruel + bad fans expect such things.

It is proven that he can be a very good hockey player with a potential to become great. But why is there such a huge gap between his performance levels and what causes it?
42 in 47 is a generous interpretation of PPG.Logan Cooley is 6’0 now and is a point a game player.

He’s no Mesar thats for sure.Sleep no1
Mental well being no2
Diet no3
Substances no4
Physical condition no5
IQ no6
It was clear from day 1 at camp he had a low hockey IQ, people laughed at me that he needed time in the OHL and AHL.
no one sees Slaf as a no1 OA, 45 pts for a guy his size is terrible imo, specially at 8 mil a year.
but maybe with Demidov he will learn a thing or 2 about hockey and get better
He’s no Mesar thats for sure.
And with his shooting% of approx 12 it gives him an estimated nr of goals of around 13 for the season. That is a serious issue. He improved. He's on sensational 1.33 shots per game.
This is totally irrelevant if he doesn’t improve thoughI don't think he is that type. He is his own worse critic. Gorton talked about that yesterday.
God, imagine if Slaf had 42 in 47? The statue would be up already.42 in 47 is a generous interpretation of PPG.
I’m happy I’m going to war these playoffs with Slaf and not a stringy whippet that would downsize our already small club.
He isn't scoring as much as we'd all like, but he's playing very well of late. Winning puck battles, making great passes.I see the usual suspects are back to posting their usual idiocies.
Was one game all it took ? He was playing well in the previous games.
I think he's a little too hard on himself lolI find that Slaf speaks quite well and has a great attitude. He talks better than he plays.
Absolutely. One’s a power forward… For me to be gushing over a lightweight center, the goal production at his age would need to be closer to Matthews’ (2nd in the NHL) than where Cooley’s actually is (85th in the NHL).God, imagine if Slaf had 42 in 47? The statue would be up already.
Slafkovsky is not a power forward. He’s a powerful forward, but he doesn’t play the body and it doesn’t come to him as a natural extension of his game.Absolutely. Slafkvosky should stop criticizing himself and his game, in your opinion? Was one game all it took ? He was playing well in the previous games.
Like Caufield who has 12 points in 20 playoff games?42 in 47 is a generous interpretation of PPG.

Including Slaf, what a hater he is saying when he’s not in motion he sucks.Wow the detractors sure are getting bolder in here.
Can't wait for all of you to be proven wrong. Slaf silenced you last year. He will do it again.
