I had heard Leonard is taking meetings with 5 teams. Raps, Clips, Lakers, Knicks and Nets

But if he wants to play at home in Cali, why take the meetings with the Knicks and Nets?

Although it would be a shame for Toronto and their fans if Kawhi was a one-and done literally Kawhi should be able to go anywhere he wants at this point without getting called on it by the mainstream media. If he wants to be in the background with LeBron and AD, vaya con dios. If he wants to head his own team elsewhere, lots of luck. He's already won titles with two organizations, clearly the main guy this year for a non-'superteam'...he has nothing to prove.

I don't know about it being a shame, when looking at the big picture this was our window to win a championship, and we capitalized on it. There were always going to be three scenarios, going in order of best case for the Raptors.

A. Kawhi traded to Toronto, Raptors win championship, Kawhi resigns.

B. Kawhi traded to Toronto, Raptors win championship, Kawhi leaves as a FA.

C. Kawhi traded to Toronto, Raptors make deep run but fall short again, Kawhi leaves as a FA.

I'd say the vast majority of Raptors fans would want option A, a vast majority would hate option C but option B is still one the vast majority could live with and be happy at the end of the day. It is what it is, if he leaves he's still going to get a standing ovation when he returns.

Whatever team Leonard chooses, well, good luck Kawhi. After what he accomplished with the Raptors this year, I will never have a bad word to say about the guy.

Everyone's waiting for news on where he's signing and he's apparently delaying all meetings. Only Kawhi, man.

Lakers have to be the biggest threat now with all of Durant, Butler, and Horford no longer being options for the Clippers unless he wants to go there alone.

All this waiting is gonna take years off my life. Neither the Lakers, nor Raptors, nor clippers are making any moves because they're waiting on Kawhi's decision while he sleeps on it.

Can he just decide already? I want to know if I'll follow basketball at all next year (if he re-signs with the Raptops). Haha.

Odd situation though. Everyone else has pretty much decided from what ESPN overnight radio tells me. Just 3 teams unable to move on until he makes a decision.

It must be a really difficult decision for him otherwise I don't think it would be taking this long, when he was in San Antonio he requested a trade to LA so we already know he wants to play in LA, but that's before Toronto entered the picture and he went on an amazing run to a championship with them, Raptors can run it back with essentially the same team if he resigns, another title with the Raps is tempting and its obvious he's thinking long and hard about that vs going home to where he could also very well win a title on a stacked Lakers team.

If he leaves, I'd love it if the Raptors folded up shop and removed themselves from the NBA

When the Finals MVP isn't willing to stay after winning a championship, it's pretty clear you're one of the ugly girls at the dance, and who wants to be that?

Have some pride, Toronto. Do it!

They won the championship and us fans are thrilled with that. We also are realistic.enough to understsnd we won't get free agents.

This reminds me of the Durant to the Warriors stuff a few years back. It was being hinted at by media and then he finally announced it. Same thing going on with Kawhi/Lakers right now.

Last night on The Jump they also wondered if he was drawing this out as some kind of loyalty test, see if anyone would leak things. If that's the case, boy did the Lakers fail lol.

Definitely does seem like its trending that way and it's been trending that way for a couple days now. Although a lot of that is so many people insisting it's a done deal, so either he made a decision today or yesterday and is drawing it out for some unknown reason or they're all full of shit.
