I think he'll give it at least 2 or 3 years. At minimum get him to where he's eligible for the 10 year super duper max and while I don't think there will be any hurt feelings if he leaves in 2 weeks, staying for a couple extra years would make the fans even happier. With KD & Klay out for most of the year, regardless if they stay w/ Warriors, the path to another title is wide open for them.

And the East is meh at best, Raps have a legit shot at a repeat.

I also feel bad for Kawhi if he comes back. Fans are fickle and I think leaving as the hero beats a second round exit or something next year.

He's a legend in all of Canada forever regardless of what happens. They won. His game 7 bucket is going to be replayed forever. No one is turning on Kawhi in this country... ever.

He'll re-sign a 1+1 or 2+1 tops and then bounce for California in 2021 at the latest.

Here's the thing I don't get, if he intends on staying, why the hell is taking meetings with other teams? It's not like he can have them bid against each other for a higher pay day so what gives?
He probably wants to at least see what other teams have to offer. This is the first time he's able to test the market so I dont blame him. There's nothing wrong in exploring all of your options even if you are leaning towards a certain way.

Someone once told me to never turn down a (job) interview. He wants to see what they can offer aside from $$$, which we know doesnt really motivate him. Wants to hear their load management plan, how they will build the team etc.

Listening to Masai end of season press conference today Some insights . Talks confident of getting the same roster to defend championship
Raptors got the right man for the job
If only our GM could draft ,develop and trade like Urjiri

are the clippers going to make their employees wear t-shirts with kawhi's photo next to albert einstein, lincoln, jfk, and gandhi like they did when they were trying to re-sign griffin?

Retire his jersey number too (even tho in his case he's never played a game for them)

Yup. Clearly the Bucks are very beatable, Sixers are nothing to worry about and the Celt's are a complete mess. They have a clear path.
Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic but Milwaukee and Phili are the only other teams with any chance in the East unless something drastic happens. GS won’t be the same if Klay leaves so if Kawhi comes back, they can definitely repeat or have a decent shot.

With all the begging the Raptors "community" is doing, it sure seems like they themselves don't believe he wants to be in Toronto.

Because they know they have no plan B. Toronto is not a FA destination in the NBA. They only get superstars through drafts and trades.

EDIT: Doesn't mean the Raptors will suddenly start losing if they lose Kawhi. Ujiri knows what he's doing.

No reigning Finals MVP has ever left his team the very next season, if Kawhi wants to continue making history and move on that’s his right, Toronto has been a championship starved city since the early 90’s nobody should be angry at his his decision after what he did here.

We can all admit how hard it is to win a chip in the NBA. Just look at many teams in this league that hasn’t been able to reach the promised land in a long time, you see the Kings and Hawks waiting since the 1950’s, the Knicks waiting since the early 70’s many others who’ve been around for half a century and never even having any titles.

Moral is it’s tough to win and Raptors fans shouldn’t forget to enjoy what this moment is and how rare it is. Stay or go the Raptors have already won.
