Cuylle is worlds better than Kreider was at the same age. And tougher. He has a hard shot and is hard to move in front. Our long term answer to Brady T & Wilson types.

The thing I like about his style of play is that he can be a real difference maker in the playoffs when things get physical. He can score a greasy goal when it counts. And he's willing to hit on nearly every play.

And to think all they dealt for the draft pick to select Cuylle was Lias Andersson. What a steal. Rangers need to make more sneaky trades like this

he's been fabulous this season. the physical play, defensive play, and scoring are all there. hope he keeps it up

Another way of looking at it: The draft is a crapshoot.
Sometimes draft picks work out, sometimes not. The amount of luck you need increases with each round. Does that mean it's a crapshoot? Kinda yea. But there's still some skill involved. I'd say in the first two rounds, it's like 50/50 in terms of skill vs luck of the front office. Higher luck vs skill is required in rounds 3 and beyond.
