Which players under Ohgren should be above him?
I think it was detailed that the Wild team had Yurov above Ohgren on draft day but felt there was a good chance Yurov would continue to fall to their second pick because of the Russian invasion. So they purposely drafted out of order.Yurov
I find Wheeler adds some nice variation and if you were to read both Pronman and Wheeler side by side, it'll give off a more realistic view and more context to certain players.Track record wise Pronman has been way more on point than Wheeler, but it’s nice to see someone thinks we have a nice prospect pool
Yeah I don’t mind wheeler, I just think Pronman is a better evaluator.I find Wheeler adds some nice variation and if you were to read both Pronman and Wheeler side by side, it'll give off a more realistic view and more context to certain players.
I appreciate the updates!Beckman on a mini goal scoring streak, with 4 in the last two games. Now has 18 for the season, only three behind the team leader, Walker. Beckman has played a few more games , but has almost twice as many shots.
I have been down on Beckman, as I don’t like some of his decision making, but I can see him being on the team next year if he works hard and keeps getting stronger. He is now listed as 6’2”, 190 lbs. is faster and stronger this year, but by no means stronger than average. The hope would be that hs develops like Boldy, who looked like Bambi like at times last year, and came back this year being WAY stronger on his skates.
Walker is listed at 5’10”, 174. I am guessing that he is every bit of that height, if not taller, and that Beckman is 6’2” on top toes. Walker looks to be a good 2” taller than Rossi, Beckman 2” taller than Walker. If he can beef up a bit ( don’t know his weight right now) then I think he can be effective in the NHL. He is not only faster than Beckman, but quicker, and IMO, a smarter, more complete player, with better puck skill aside from the shot, which is Beckman’s strength.
Rossi is a very good AHL’er. I just don’t know if his physical limitations will prevent him from being a good NHL’er, or if he will gradually improve, as he has this season, to the point that those limitations will no longer be an issue. He also needs to work on his processing speed, a bit. Hope he gets a few more NHL games this year so he, and the coaching staff, can gauge his progress. Crossing fingers that he stays healthy all year, and comes back in the fall ready for the NHL.
ROR is also gradually improving. He needs a bit more of everything, but I like his game as a defensive Dman with decent wheels and some passing skills. Seems to have a brain, and competitiveness. Still struggling a bit to find his offensive game, but I don’t know that Army has given him any opportunities to do so.
Hunt has been out for a few games now. Worrying, considering his injury history.
SJo looks ok. Longshot for the NHL. Strength and skating are mild liabilities- maybe defensive play. Good puck skills and offensive instincts in the O zone, and nice length. He is listed as the same height as Beckman, but looks taller. Nice to have that on D…even if you aren’t strong, you can sort of drape yourself over guys and impede them.
Oh, and I like Milne. Doesn’t score much, but is fast, energetic, and plays pretty smart…seems to understand his role, which so many players don’t. Sort of like a bigger Mason Shaw….better wheels than Shaw had at the same age. Average size, decent strength for an AHL rookie…forgot if he was picked as an overager? If he can get stronger I see him being a 4 th liner in the NHL. It’s not like he is weak now, just kinda holds his own. Don’t think he fights.I appreciate the updates!

Seems weird, but ok.fyi i just heard on kfan that marco rossi is changing his name to "roo-see" supposedly the original right way to say it. same spelling rossi.
Dang man.... I get being down on the pick, but it's way too early to be calling him a bustThe Italians pronounce Ross-see. Austrians must pronounce it differently. Rossi is a bust so far bad pick if u ask me.
So far he's a bust. Would be great if he turns into a top 6 guy, but at this point i dont see it happening.Dang man.... I get being down on the pick, but it's way too early to be calling him a bust

What do you mean so far he's a bust? Dude is only 21 years old and lost an entire year from the 'vid. Give the kid a little bit of the benefit of doubt. I still believe he's going to put it all together. So far he's a bust. Would be great if he turns into a top 6 guy, but at this point i dont see it happening.
Hope the best for him but i dont see much outta him. He was way to hyped up his draft year. I'd like to see him called up and get some time at 1c before the year is over. I just dont see anything yet outta him. What do you mean so far he's a bust? Dude is only 21 years old and lost an entire year from the 'vid. Give the kid a little bit of the benefit of doubt. Do you watch his Iowa games or just his Minnesota games? If all you've seen are his Minnesota games I would say this is a fair assessmentHope the best for him but i dont see much outta him.
