Bankier is tenth in P/PG in the WHL. Masters, 6th in P/PG among Dmen. Both very nice surprises.
Does Bankier have a future at center or will he be a wing in the pros?

Center, i think. Good size...needs to fill out even more, but he's already 6'2". Decent skater, vg defensive game, as he proved at the WJC. No reason he can't play C, that i can think of.Does Bankier have a future at center or will he be a wing in the pros?

Sort of a Coyle w/o the tease factor that Coyle’s skills brings?I would agree with you. He's always had a game that slots in nicely at center, to me. There was a brief period where I thought he could become a 2C, but I think in the end he becomes a very nice defensive 3C.
Funny you say this. I used to think Coyle would become a #2 center with great skill, and JEE would become a #3 center with... let's call it less skill. Turns out JEE is the more productive #2 center and Coyle is the #3, in spite of the obvious tools each possesses. The composition of what makes a good player is weird sometimes.Sort of a Coyle w/o the tease factor that Coyle’s skills brings?
Injury only I'd say.Do we think Wallstedt gets a game or two this year with the big club if he keeps up this pace?
No hurry...maybe a call up for the playoffs to be a Black Ace.Do we think Wallstedt gets a game or two this year with the big club if he keeps up this pace?

Oh, I agree, he does. I just think his skills lie in less flashy areas than Coyle's. I think the greatest skill separating them is consistency.Ek has some underrated offensive skill, a better shot too.

2nd highest scoring defenseman on his team by a significant margin (both directions). I'm guessing the #1 guy runs the PP, 1 year older. How has lambos been trending? I know during last summers WJ's he struggled, and didn't even make the team this year for Canada. Have we witnessed so negative development on his side? Haven't seen much discussion on him lately
Another year to go.Marat can't get over here fast enough, seems like he is close to nhl ready.
I'm glad he's loaned and we didn't just release him. I've always liked him and thought he could be a sneaky good depth scorer for us. Good to see him putting up some solid numbers for a young KHL player.Fistov looks to be having a decent season in the KHL.. 34 gp. 9g 8a 17 pts.
I am not too surprised, he looked great in the camps this fall, I really liked the way he played, had pro level decision making, quick and effective with the puck on his stick, and a shot that can beat people, all while playing quite responsibly.Firstov looks to be having a decent season in the KHL.. 34 gp. 9g 8a 17 pts.
Simashev is rising up boards a 6'4 raw LHD that can skate really well. Doubt he will be around when we pick. Anyone know the Firstov situation? Will he come back here next year or is he staying in Russia for the forseeable Future?can firstov & marat be better than steele & hartman? lets hope so. im crossing my fingers yurov is great and just being suppressed because of no contract. next draft another russian daniil but is looking like my kinda pick.
