ROR has had zero TOI so far, i think. Hard to have a worse tournament for our Canadian prospects.

From a Canadians POV I think Lambos isn't seeing ice because of a couple reasons. First, when you look at age he is one of the youngest d on our team. The other two young guys that are seeing the ice bring a completely unique skill set. Zellweger is the youngest but is an absolute offensive weapon for us. Del Mastro is young as well but is a 6'4" physical force. Everyone else plays a similar two way style (maybe not Cormier as offence is his calling card like Zellweger) but is older than Lambos. Team Canada has historically been big on seniority. Just trying to add some potential context.

Spacek has looked pretty good through two IMO. Looks like he has been on ice vs the Bedard/McTavish line. He is wearing an A and saw some PP time as well. Again, good defensively along boards and decent gaps. Doesn't look very quick with first couple of steps or top speed.

Only saw ROR for one shift - nice hit and then pushed a guy away from his goalie after a whistle.

What an awful tournament for Wild defensemen. Faber captained a team that got bounced out against a weaker team. Peart, O'Rourke and Lambos had zero impact. I think the only player that made any difference in Wally.

I'm not sure what more Faber could have done. He played defense like Brodin throughout the tournament and was a +1 in a 4-2 loss in which all goals scored were even strength and he was 2nd on the team in ice time. Looked to me like a solid tournament out of him.

I also have loved watching Wallstedt. I knew he was positionally sound, but he's also much faster than I expected. Big, athletic, and smart (or at least well trained, hard to tell which, but maybe it doesn't matter).

Anyway, I don't weight the WJC very heavily when judging players. It's fun to watch, but it's also a limited sample size with the best prospects in the world playing on all-star teams. Plenty who have done well went on to be terrible in (or didn't even make it to) the NHL, and some who did poorly (or didn't even get played/make the team) went on to be fine NHLers. The WJC is a prestigious feather for your helmet, but that's about it.

This one has been a mixed bag for the Wild prospects, and that's pretty much what I expected. When you have that many guys in the tournament, some will do well and others will do poorly.

Not particularly, he's an underager that will have another tournament in 5 months where he will have a bigger role.
Except there are a few underaged players that have seen time on the ice over Lambos. The whole underage thing is an excuse that doesn't hold much water.

Zellweger and Dal Maestro are younger or the same age as Lambos.

Any reason to be concerned about Lambos not playing much?
Remember, Boldy didn't even get an invite for his first WJC. As long as Lambos doesn't pout, and uses this benching as motivation, he should be fine. Canada has a ton of talent on the back end...Lambos would make every other team with the possible exception of Sweden.

I was hoping Lambos would get another opportunity but otherwise fine with how ROR and Peart played, given their role and icetime.

I will say that Spacek has played well. Spacek has been very good defensively against Canada and USA, respectively. Could be my low expectations but he's been Czechia's second best defenseman easily.

Hope I don't jinx him but Wallstedt has single handedly kept Sweden in the bronze game. The only goal was a bit of a fluke. Good positioning, swallowing pucks up a bit better, etc. Definitely a calm/robotic like game. Sometimes seems too calm to me but what do I know.

Spacek and Ohgren haven't done much from what I have seen.
