To Wild------Dobson, Nelson, Pulkkinen, 2025 1st.
To Islander--Kaprizov, Rossi.

As much as I like Dobson, Kaprizov for me is more valuable than him. Don't know enough about the other guys in the deal to judge it overall but if Kap is willing to stay with the wild, I'm not trading him.Kaprizov is not being traded before the Wild have an opportunity to re-sign him.
Not horrendous, but this trade definitely favors the Islanders. To Wild------Dobson, Nelson, Pulkkinen, 2025 1st.

I'd say 'replace' some pieces.Ad some pieces from the Isles, and it's closer.
What about a trade surrounding Nelson & 2nd round pick for Rossi?
Why not? If the Wild turn out to be a real playoff contender, why wouldn't they want to trade for a tru 2C, probably low 1C who is a constant to get you 35 & 35 every year. His play will age well and he's from Minnesota so he definitely wouldn't oppose it. Trading Rossi is tricky, but if you don't believe he a huge piece to build around then going for it while also getting a pick back is reasonable. Nelson on his own would get a 1st + a decent player which is probably around Rossi's value, and the pick covers the future risk you take, even though you get betterObviously the Wild don't do this
Rossi is still on a nice upward trajectory and already fills a 1/2C role well for us. He’s not flashy and his numbers aren’t gaudy yet so he will be a reasonable bridge or maybe we lock him up to Ek like value long term. I’d like to sign Rossi to a 6x8 deal because he’s the most hungry kid I’ve seen. He’s motivated and coachable and wants to be the best. Why not?
