Why will this team not go all in?

Fans of this team disagree with each other all the time.

That was their ranking from the athletic, but everyone has their own opinion.
Maybe as of last year?! Definitely not after this years draft…how can you even make the case they have the 11th best pool right now.

You made your opinion clear. Everyone can have their own. The Athletic has the Leafs at 1th. They looked at all the prospect pools and ranked them. You can disagree.

Leafs definitely don’t have the 11th best pool
It's more than that. Regardless of how deep the pool is, the cap space limits its use.

If you're up against the cap with six scrubs on the bottom lines each making $1.5M, being able to trade a bunch of prospects and picks for McDavid won't do you any good.

Was definitely a penalty, no one would deny that if they're being honest.
Could they have let it go? Would have been nice.
Most people thought it was a penalty watching it live. Stamkos called it immediately, it was so obvious.

The number of views and the quality of the voice are meaningless except as a red herring.
Watch the video and listen to what he says.
I don't see how anyone who has watched that or any other video of the play can honestly dispute the call.
The number of views and the squeaky, stumbling voice really represent how amateurish the video is, and it does not suggest that he possesses a level of knowledge about the topic he's attempting to discuss. This is confirmed by the fact that everything he says is wrong. The video shows exactly what I said, and I don't see how anyone who has watched that or any other video or just hockey in general can honestly agree with the call. It was one in a long line of horrendous calls towards the end of that series, and hockey fans should demand better instead of happily accepting officiating incompetence that decides series.

As the number of views and his voice are the only things you can come up with to discredit the video, and they are entirely irrelevant, maybe you should reconsider (I know you won't).

I appreciate your blind devotion to the Leafs in general and to Tavares in particular, but it's become pathetic.

Watched the video with the sound muted and sung "You Make My Dreams Come True" to myself. It still looked like a blatant pick play.

In other NHL organizations, support players who make really dumb plays in the playoffs that cost their team like Holl and Kerfoot did are usually launched into the sun in the following summer. Of the two I'm less pissed at Holl because he didn't actually cost a goal since Tavares wouldn't have gotten that look without the pick play. It might even be argued that it could have been a calculated risk that possibly the penalty wouldn't get called.

So did the ref Holl was "rotating" to the paint with exactly where the puck was as a stay at home defenseman though.

What a joke

Of course you've spent days bitching about an obvious call to justify another loss.

Shows you know nothing about hockey just like when you tried to claim the series was "basically a conference final" to justify dubas never winning a series.

We don't need to make changes Dubas signed a guy from the Soo and a guy he represented as an agent as 2 of our 3 big pick ups. Oh and Malgin we're the most creative forward thinking organization in the history of hockey

Someone needs to gif Furlatt signaling the interference, the no goal, and the GM’s reaction. Priceless.

Did you miss where we signed Calle Jarkronk and Stanley Cup Champion Anton Kubel, who contributed a whopping 0 points in 14 GP in said cup winning run.

No, the views and the middle-school voice are merely the hilarious representation of how amateur the video is. The real problem is what I already addressed - that literally everything he says (which isn't much) is inaccurate and does not match what is seen in the video. I've already accurately gone over and described what can be seen in the video evidence of the play.

I don't have a blind devotion to the Leafs or Tavares. I just also don't have a blind hatred of the Leafs and Tavares, and prefer to discuss the truth instead of false claims and descriptions made up to justify horrendous officiating.

Literally none of that is correct. Holl did not deliberately run into anybody. Holl was rotating in because it looked like Tavares was rotating out, but Tavares cut inside instead, and when Cirelli tried to cut inside as well, that took him into the path that Holl was already taking. Holl literally tried to stop when he saw Cirelli, and Cirelli just pushed him down. Cirelli is not entitled to that ice any more than Holl. It also wasn't the reason Tavares got a shot. He had already pulled away from Cirelli whether Holl was there or not. It was a horrible, incorrect, series-defining call.

At 40 seconds that is a stop when you want to stop

Your not telling the truth, no matter how many times you say it, you’re not changing anyones minds.
I feel like you should get you’re eyes tested, as none agrees with you, and the video evidence is proof.

Yes, very similar to what Holl did - even moving a similar amount after the initiation of the stop. Though obviously you're likely to be a bit less crisp in a game situation when you have to stop unexpectedly because a player moved into your path than you are alone in a non-game situation on fresh, open ice when you're expecting and planning to stop the whole way.
Your not telling the truth
Except I am telling the truth. I only tell the truth, and it's clear and obvious to see in the video evidence.

Ok but what I’m saying is I think that ranking is before this years draft. Is that correct??

It is before the draft
The link he posted and removed is from some random site, not the Athletic, they do theirs just before the season starts team by team each day. That site is so off on their rankings, It was done after the draft, because in the comments section the guy running it says Montreal would have gone from 8th, to top 5 if they would have selected Wright instead, Look at the goalie rankings and Buffalo who probably has the best goalie pool is ranked 25th or 26th, just ridiculous. Another case of some guy peddling a model, whether it works or not, like the Dom guy at the Athletic. More power to them if they can make money doing that,, but their rankings should not be taken as fact,

I don't think so. The first time I saw it was last week.
It was before the draft. Impossible that they are 11th after this draft regardless of how high you are on Knies or Niemela. They barely drafted last 2 years. They are not 11th. No way!

Yes, this the third time you have made your opinion clear. I understand that you don't think the prospect pool for the Leafs or should be highly rated. You are entitled to that opinion. I am not sure exactly when the Athletic article came out. But, doesn't matter to me where you think the Leafs prospect pool is ranked. There will be other rankings and you can stick with your opinion or find a ranking that is in line with your opinion and accept that one.
