Why are the Devils 21-4-1? insane easy schedule, makes perfect sense.

he finally changed the title, was wondering how long the Devils would be 11-3-1 for.

Devils were 11-3 when the thread was originally made and it didn't make any sense.

All they've done since then is put up an even better record at 10-1-1.

It's convenient timing for a thread title update as the schedule gets tough now with the Islanders coming up next, followed by 4 games in 6 nights against (NYR, Dal, PHI & FLA), which after 2 days off is followed by 3 games in 4 nights (CAR, FLA, BOS) and then another game against Boston.

Why none are listening, nor believe what i say, you are all fools thinking Devils are legit.

You are unshakeable in your convictions.

Devils are better than the pens, the lightning, the blues, the panthers, the kings, the kraken, the wild and the jets.

The only team I’ll say is better than the devils atm are the bruins. It’s a toss up with the knights.

The Canes are a very much a top team they just can’t hit the broad side of a barn.

They lost a couple of key scorers on offense, Niederreiter (the signature forward in some ways) and Trocheck.

Pacioretty’s leg exploded 10 minutes after they traded for him.

They signed a guy who gets sadly concussed all the time (Kase) and he got sadly concussed.

Tervainen has only played 16 games due to injury and somehow has zero goals. He just got back though and his passing will help their moribund PP (sadly just in time for when we play them).

Kotkaniemi being an offensive non-entity doesn’t help.

Jarvis hasn’t produced a ton but will be fine, he’s just young and a neat little player. Actually looking forward to seeing him play live along with Necas, who has turned into a total beast.

Thanks for coming to my TED TALK on the Canes in a terrible Devils thread on the main board.

My main point is that with the Devils harder schedule, and the Canes easier one, they could actually take the Metro if their offense caught fire.

That offense has to do the catching fire part first though and the Devils would have to cool down.

Either way, we will inevitably lose more games everyone, .827 win % isn’t actually maintainable. We are super special though, our mom’s tell us that every day.

**or compliments
I'll just leave this here because someone was asking for it.
Auston Matthews will be a bust.
- a type of bust who will have a long career
but didn't match his high excpectations what
was set for him. why?

Heres why, prior to draft year:
-played in the best team in NLA,Swiss league
-was coached by NA head coach
-scored 24 goals,49 points in 40 games
-had 8 penalty minutes
-scored 20 points in 17 international games (wjc u20,wc)

Has shined for USNTDP juniors (USHL),USNT u18 team (USDP)
world juniors (u20,u18),was good, not great at last worlds.

Did not dominate last season in the NLA,i know many so claim
that he did,but scoring 49 points in 40 games in the NLA
isn't dominating, even if you are 18 going 19 and NA.

I predict he'll be 3rd line two-way center at best,
900 career games 120+ goals,450+ points.

There is not a team in the league that can keep up with the devils for 3 periods. This whole season they’ve not really strung together more than 2 bad periods. They also have the ability to just turn it up and core at will. Closest to the 2001 team I’ve seen.
Good luck come playoff time

I’d say the team with a better win% despite missing so much stat power to start the year tcan certainly keep up.

That should be a fun game

I think most Devils fans will be happy with just getting into the playoffs, and will take whatever happens there as a good learning experience for what is the youngest team in the league.
Completely agree, and I could see them making a bit of a run like the Rags last year or the Canes in 2018-19. But the hot start to the season has made some Devils fans quite braggadocious. There are still 4+ teams in the East I think would beat them in a playoff series. Anything can happen in hockey but if I were a betting man I wouldn't be putting my $ on the Devils.

It's very hard to beat this Devils team ONCE. What gives you the illusion 4 other teams will beat them 4x in a series?

It's not as hard as the first 1/4 of the season makes it seem to fans like yourself. You're in a for a rude awakening if you think it'll be this easy come playoff time, lol.
