Why are the Devils 21-4-1? insane easy schedule, makes perfect sense.

You can still keep both . Make Brunette HC and keep Ruff in as a ? Special advisor or associate coach
If I'm not mistaken, Brunette has an opt out clause in his contract should a HC opportunity arise (he could get snatched at anytime) and Ruff has said he wants to continue coaching and is due for an extension..

Been watching the devils for 30 years and this is the most dominant 5 on 5 stretch I’ve ever seen. Devils aren’t getting puck luck, they’re not getting the calls and they’re not even over achieving based on their advanced stats. They look like they’re in another league.

Obviously Hischier Hughes Bratt Hamilton and Marino are all known to be good.

Then you've got kind of unsung heroes and budding NHLers like Mercer, Bastian, Siegenthaler, Sharangovich, and Vanecek.

Then there's the vets in Palat (who's injured), Tatar, and Haula.

But what the hell is there after that? Wood? Severson?

The devils could still be better. While they’re dominant they’re still underperforming in certain areas. So yea, this isn’t luck or a fluke. In fact they could be better.

These tables are just baffling to look at. I mean, I can feel it when the games are being played. The Devils deserve to be winning the games they're winning. The only game they got outplayed and still won was the game against Edmonton (so our game tomorrow should be interesting). But the sheer scope of the dominance is just... tremendous.

The Devils are for real. Even last year, their offensive zone possession time was playoff worthy

now 12 straight to start their season, my goodness. Is that a franchise record for Jersey?

Goin for #13 tonight, normally I would be cheering for them to break the record, but I'm an Edmontonian, and they face the McOilers today. They beat us last time, in Edmonton, scoring 2 goals in a seven second span, and banking the 2 pts

Round two

I'd bet good money either EDM or TOR ends the streak. Even a good possibility both win. But it's been fun and I hope we can keep demanding OP update the title in perpetuity

It wasn't, but thirteen after tonight ties the record from 2000-01, which is probably the best team in franchise history.

First Edmonton game was pretty even. The home game against Calgary is the one we got outplayed. We didn't really give up that much but we really didn't create anything outside of the ones that went in
