To point out the obvious, it was Treliving who fumbled Tkachuk...twice. That's not the hockey mind you want running the club, when the team he traded the most important piece to is in the process of confirming that he read the situation completely wrong.

Stan Bowman as GM
Joel Quennville as Head Coach

We need some experience and proven success
Don't mind that at all. You get Scotty Bowman's counsel for free.

Edited to say: For the record, I'd hire Scotty Bowman immediately. Scotty Bowman could give you three decisions that alter your club in the best way possible, forever.

It's going to be a dinosaur who is going to go "need more grit" and acquire useless f***ing players that end up as boat anchors. Going to start drafting fridges on skates so all our picks are busts again.

I read speculation it will be Brad Treliving.. I literally cannot even put into words how bad of a exchange Dubas for him is. This day f***ing sucks
It's amazing how some are so attached to names here instead of results

People will soon wish Dubas had stayed... Not many realize what they have compared to the rest of the fish in the pond lol
So everyone who is upset would be fine with him bringing back Keefe? And fine with him dealing with major contracts again?

Treliving's result(s) is playing in the Conference Finals for another team. Maybe there's something in the air in Calgary, but few franchises have repeatedly hamstrung themselves like the Flames have in moving out their keystone (i.e. Gilmour, Nieuwendyk, Iginla...Tkachuk). I know BT doesn't bear the franchise's historic brunt, but...Just don't see the fit on the basis of results.

If that's the case there's an out of work GM who won three Cups and retooled doing it.

1. Tulsky.
2. Pridham.

Please God not a retread. A lot of the names being talked about would be absolute disasters. I don't get the Trevling hype at all. That would be gross.

Futa

I don't know why Mike Futa gets so much attention for doing very little. I don't get the love and it would be a hell of a backwards hiring.
11 years with a multiple cup winning org will do it.

At the very least long term experience as an AGM should be a minimum.

If the nerds want Tulsky I'm out on him. Pridham can f*** off too.

For a rookie give me Sean Burke. For a vet I'd be happy with Lombardi or Trieliving

The Dubas doomers are about to learn how good he was over the next few seasons if we hire a Hockey Man (TM).

Tulsky and Pridham should be at the top of the list. Tulsky is probably due a promotion following this season though and Pridham is a Dubas hire so I'm guessing he's gone too. The organization is headed in a different direction. I just hope it's not one that the other 31 teams have gone through.

Before Trotz was named GM of Nashville, i want Poile as president to replace Shanny, Poile hires a GM, and Trotz as coach. But if Shanny is still here then the GM and coach jobs are only available.

Ideally you want someone who has been heavily involved in drafting, scouting, player personnel, AGM for 5-10 years. From an organization that has seen success. Not necessarily the Cup but your team is known to be competing hard for it.

He had a clause in his contract that no teams could talk to him until July 1st, which is part of the reason why he isn't a good option. Lots to do before July 1st and on that day.
Leafs could ask for permission like teams including Flames asked for permission to talk to Pridham.

Stars have been a well run organiztion for years. Both assistant GM's on the Stars have been around for a while (Scott White & Mark Janko)

Scott White
Assistant General Manager and Texas Stars General Manager

Scott White is in his eighth season as assistant general manager, while he also serves as the general manager for the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). The only GM in Texas Stars history, White was the architect behind the 2015 Calder Cup-winning Texas Stars, a team that set a franchise record with 48 wins, claiming the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as the AHL's regular-season points champion. He also manufactured the team's second John D. Chick Trophy win (West Division champions) in 2018 as Texas again reached the Calder Cup Final. White was selected by Hockey Canada to serve as a member of the management group for Canada's National Men's Team at the 2014 Deutschland Cup and 2014 Spengler Cup.

A member of the Dallas Stars organization since 2005, White, 54, previously served as a professional scout and director of minor league operations. He headed up the hockey department for the Iowa Stars, Dallas' then-primary affiliate, for three seasons. Prior to joining the Stars organization, he served as head coach of the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL for four seasons, qualifying for a playoff berth each year. He also guided Columbia to a Kelly Cup Final appearance in 2003 and finished with a 165-87-36 record with the Inferno. White also worked as an assistant coach with the ECHL's Greensboro Monarchs for a season and a half, and was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Michigan Tech University, from 1994-99.

White played five years of professional hockey from 1989-94, including three seasons with Greensboro, where he won the 1990 ECHL Championship and earned ECHL Defenseman of the Year and First-Team All-ECHL honors for the 1991-92 season. He signed with the Ottawa Senators in 1992 and played the entire season with the club's AHL affiliate in New Haven, capturing team MVP honors with 54 points (10-44=54) in 80 games.

White and his wife, Kathy, have four children: Emily, Katie, William, Madelyn and three grandkids: Remi, Corbin and Cooper.

Mark Janko
Assistant General Manager

Mark Janko is in his 23rd season with the Dallas Stars organization, and his seventh as assistant general manager. Janko has spent the past 14 seasons in hockey operations after previously working in the Stars' public relations department for eight years.

In his current role, Janko is primarily responsible for player and staff contract negotiations, and has played an integral role in the construction and framing of the contracts for several of the team's core players including Jamie Benn, Miro Heiskanen, Roope Hintz, Esa Lindell, Jake Oettinger and Tyler Seguin. Additionally, Janko oversees all preseason and regular-season scheduling, Collective Bargaining Agreement compliance, cap and budget management, salary arbitration, strategic planning and works closely with Dallas' scouting staff, with an emphasis on the professional level. Along with Jim Nill, he created and now oversees both an analytics department and mental health division and also serves as the team's liaison for all player transactions with NHL's Central Registry.

Janko, 46, joined the Stars in 1999 after serving in the media relations department for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim during the 1998-99 season. A 1998 graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in communications, Janko is a native of Mission Viejo, Calif. He and his wife, Jessica, their daughters, Reese and Hayden, and son, Carson, reside in Highland Village, Texas.
