I think Futa has a ton of experience excelling at everything he's done. However, he was never an NHL GM. I wouldn't mind Laviolette or Quenneville for coach.

No Treliving, Chiarelli, Burke, Wickenheiser or a ton of other unsuccessful retreads. Treliving might hire that mushmouth Sutter as his coach.
I think there was conflict between tre and Sutter. He'd never hire him.

It's very likely Pridham takes over interim GM and they see what shakes out from other teams once the playoffs are over.
He's being courted as well so not sure if that will work out, and if anything he may take offense to the fact that he's potentially next in line but they're making him an interim while basically finding his next boss. Not sure I would want someone like the negotiating the next deals or making the next big trade... If Tulsky is not a possibility then I'd rather just promote Pridham permanently.

Maybe. More so interim as a test and see how it works out and give him a chance to get the full tag along with whoever they plan on talking to. We'll see what happens in the next hour.

I'd have confidence in giving Pridham the keys considering everything. But I am not sure how ready he is for the task at hand.

Who do you believe should be the next GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs? This is for discussion of what we should do going forward, not discussion of past GM's?

Some names I've seen mentioned. Pridham, Tulsky, Bowman, Treliving, Botterill, Brad Holland, Spezza, Ryan Hardy, Wickenheiser.....
Well it will very likely be another guy from TO .. my buddy says its Spezza .. I have nothing better to go off of so I think it will be Spezza .. he knows each of da guys well on team .. he knows shanny .. and he knows league .. and he understands hockey is more then skill and spreadsheets .. he really only lacks experience as a GM

Do we even know what and how Pridham would do if he was gm? What if he wants to run it back, play soft hockey? Does anyone have any idea what his thoughts are before we give him the keys to the kingdom?

I don't know why Mike Futa gets so much attention for doing very little. I don't get the love and it would be a hell of a backwards hiring.

Best case scenario, is that they just shuffle the deck chairs to give Dubas less pressure.

GM: Pridham
AGM: Spezza, Dubas, Wick
