It's going to be a dinosaur who is going to go "need more grit" and acquire useless f***ing players that end up as boat anchors. Going to start drafting fridges on skates so all our picks are busts again.

I read speculation it will be Brad Treliving.. I literally cannot even put into words how bad of a exchange Dubas for him is. This day f***ing sucks

I always thought Treliving got the Flames whatever they needed.

His extensions were pretty reasonable.

That being said, everyone has kinda convinced me of Tulsky.

Hard to say. There's some obvious names and I hope they find the right person.

Tulsky is the flavour of the week but he's someone with very little managerial experience. More of the same to me. He would obviously continue the allure of a smart front office that doesn't rely on dinosaur levels of building a team.

Treliving seems ok but not sure if he'd be the guy to take over and make some very tough decisions. He flubbed a huge one in Calgary, but outside of that I think he's alright. Seems capable and has done it before.

There's like a list of 10 or so names that could do ok.

Somebody needs to tell me why Hayley Wickenhiser is qualified to be GM just because she played for team Canada.

Just because you played for team Canada doesn't mean you are qualified to run the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I don't think a rookie GM is a good idea, not with Matthews needing an extension.

Credibility in the GM chair is needed.

Stan Bowman and Peter Laviolette would be a fantastic GM and coach combo.

Or Quinnville if he's reinstated.

Hell no to Stan Bowman, why do we want that coward anywhere near our roster. Bowman also destroyed the Chicago roster after they won their cup.

I think Futa has a ton of experience excelling at everything he's done. However, he was never an NHL GM. I wouldn't mind Laviolette or Quenneville for coach.

No Treliving, Chiarelli, Burke, Wickenheiser or a ton of other unsuccessful retreads. Treliving might hire that mushmouth Sutter as his coach.

Someone with a clear vision for the short and long-term and a philosophy far different than Dubas'. I'm hoping for someone with legitimate experience, but its not a pre-requisite.

Also someone who WANTS to change the culture, which has HUGE issues.

If it's Mark Hunter or some other dinosaur I may have to stop watching this team forever.
Firing Dubas is Shanny admitting he made a mistake hiring him. Replacing him with Hunter, would take a bigger set of onions than the ones to replace Lou with Kyle IMO.

Because the young prodigy worked out well
Where did I say I wanted a green guy who is young with minimal experience? Not every decision is black and white, there's some guys in the middle with reasonable experience and age who could probably be good. I just don't want some garbage re-tread type from the old boys club.

Tulsky or Pridham..

Honestly as long as it's not any of the following: Jim Benning, Marc Bergevin, John Chayka, Peter Chiarelli, Ron Hextall, Mike Milbury or Doug Wilson.
Damn, I completely forgot about Doug Wilson.

Praying for Tulsky but unfortunately I’m expecting Wilson or Treliving…
