Who will get the captaincy?

$10? Whew, too deep for my pockets. Right, I’m sure the Ahi fight is docile compared to deadlifting it.

i don’t see him as a Captain.

After having actually watched the press conference, I don't think there's anything to indicate we're definitely naming one.

Brooks asked Drury "is naming a captain a priority?" What's he gonna say? "No, that's not a priority?"

He said he wants to but it has to be the right man and he won't do it for the sake of doing it. That's pretty much what we've said since the letter.

I agree. Idk where Carp got Trouba from, although he’s obviously a good candidate with how the team is constructed.

I've heard a lot of people say Trouba is the favorite if they did it, but nothing concrete as of yet that they're going to pull the trigger.

Based off Drury's comments in the presser that the second half of the seasons showed him something vis-a-vis a captain, there was a lot of speculation that him was referencing Trouba. And, on the surface, I don't see where that decision comes from. My intitial thought was he was indication Fox.

Maybe im crazy but the lack of leadership seems to stem from Quinn losing the locker room at some point this year. Leadership wasnt an issue in 2020 when the team was firing on all cylinders

Did teams at one point get to vote on this amongst themselves in the dressing room ? I thought I had read that before . Now it seems that the Captains get appointed by the coach . I wonder who would get voted in if they indeed had a vote on that ? I think if it was done via vote that Kreider would get it in a tight race over Lindgren and Trouba in 3rd place . If by appointment.....it will be made at the end of camp before opening night and it will be Trouba .
