If I had to pick a name right now, and Drury is dead set on naming one, I'd say Trouba is probably the favorite.

I suspect there's still at least a decent amount of trepidation within the organization as to whether they should/need to/or have the clear cut guy.

Personally, I don't know if there's a clear-cut "this is the guy" in our current locker room.

I think some of them bring different aspects to how they lead, but I don't know if there's necessarily that has yet emerged as the obvious choice.

In Trouba's case, I have heard quite a bit about his involvement and stepping up this season. Especially with some of the early ADA crap.

One very big takeaway from the press conference was Chris Drury saying he wanted to name a captain this season. “[Naming a captain] is a priority,” he revealed. “At the end of the day, it has to be the right person. I think we have a lot of leaders in our room.”
