Who Will be Our New Captain?

Call me crazy but I think Zucc warrants an A for his play and attitude this season, at least more than Richards and Nash.

I would love nothing more than to give Zucc an A.

That being said, I doubt we see him leapfrog Nash (never mind Staal and Girardi), even though he deserves it 10x more than Nash does.

We probably roll with 3 A's the rest of the year, with Girardi getting the third A full time. There's a small chance Cally signs as a FA this summer, in which case he'd probably get the C back.

I think this is overstated. He's small and he tries hard cuz he has to. He puts forth a lot of effort, yes.

but so does Nash. They are just different players. To say Nash doesn't have heart is bothersome. He's just more mild mannered.

He was HUGE for the Canadians in the Olympics.

Lundqvist is the true leader of the team, but I don't think it's allowed per the player's association to have that. I'd probably give it to MSL or Girardi.

I think Richards as A is complete ********. Boyle, McDonagh, Zucc should all be above him on that list. His attitude and work-ethic on the ice is nowhere near a C or A

It should be changed. There are plenty of goalies worthy of the C. A simple fix would be to amend the rule so that on teams where the goalie has the C he cannot leave his crease to talk to the ref, but one of the Alternates can talk to the ref in his place.

As far as Richards with the A, it is easy for some to say he doesn't deserve it because of his play on the ice but people forget he is a veteran who has won before and we don't know what he brings in the locker room.
