Sorry Jimmy. I'm with Mike Danton on this one. Leafs are Charmin triple-ply double ultra-soft. I'm surprised they don't disintigrate when they start to perspire.Lmao the Leafs beat up the Jets months ago before they added O’Reilly, Acciari, Schenn, and McCabe. No team has a more undeserved reputation for being tough than the Jets.
Oilers softest team and it's not even close. Especially if you consider mental fortitude. McDavid is easily the best regular season player though.Years past I might have said Islanders are the gritiest but not sure if they are now. I think it is either the Stars or the Bruins.
For softest, I think it might be the LA kings or Jets.
Curious how others see the playoff teams on the pugnacity scale
Softest? Its still the leafs.
judging by the comments it looks like nj is the winner.Hey OP can we make this a poll?
Agree. Will be interesting to see how they handle the physical play in this series going forward.Canes are so soft
I think it's more that their top 6 is soft. They've added muscle for sure. We'll see if it's enough to get them over the hump in the playoffs. Are people calling the Leafs the softest just trolling, or they actually think that?
I wouldn’t call them a tough/gritty team, but they’re not nearly as soft as they were over the last few years, and it’s hard to believe anyone who’s watched the Leafs and Carolina would think that the Leafs are softer than Carolina.
Adding Schenn running around out there for 15 minutes a game also adds a few notches on the belt.
Out of the 16 playoff teams my gut says they’d be in the 10-14 range, but this feels like a very subjective one to measure.

The guy is happy, let them have it, a second round is their cupHuh?
You tried to argue that Ryan O'Rielly isn't gritty. You can hold this L.Huh?
Just checked the thread title. Montreal doesn't apply. Playoffs? It is Toronto all the way. The softest team in the NHL playoffs is without a doubt the Toronto Maple Leafs. Their psyche is soft and will crumble in round #1 (again)
Settle down. I ate my crow. Don't need a side of shit with it.Agreed, butter soft, and it showed....
Settle down?Settle down. I ate my crow. Don't need a side of shit with it.
Lol....a jokeSettle down?

Be honest with me. Are you upset the leafs were able to draft a better player in knies in the second round than the rangers were able to draft at 1st and 2nd overall? Oh yeah and can't forget about your love child at 9th overall too.
Lmao, what? You tried to argue that Ryan O'Rielly isn't gritty. You can hold this L.
Honestly, no kiddingThe guy is happy, let them have it, a second round is their cup
Like I said hold the L.Lmao, what?
It's already been established in this thread what I believe gritty is.. I don't believe a guy who threw 18 hits in 53 regular season games is the definition of gritty.
I get it though, reading is hard.
You stay taking L's. Leafs bullying the Lightning got everyone backtrackingHonestly, no kidding
I guess it's been almost 20 years.
