let’s assume Tavares is overpaid by 5M. Leafs take on a shit contract of $4M. Now they have to go out and trade for assets for a 2C that’s probably going to have a cap hit of $4M+, for a grand total of, at most, $3M in cap savings. Small brain logic

You’re insanely overvaluing your players. Myers is negative value. He was a bad contract the day it was signed. It’s a bad contract today. He’d be a liability on Toronto just like he’s a drag on a bad Vancouver team.

He literally got injured less than 10 minutes in last year (which you well know). And had 3 points in 5 games the year before. Not great for sure. But also definitely not whatever you’re trying to sell. I’ll hang on while you move the goalposts again though. I’m sure you’ll obsessively come up with something else.
