Impact forward and then a cheap depth defensemen if we have the room after the forward, but the forward is the important piece.
Sure they can make trades beforehand but those wouldn't be considered Deadline priorities.Yeah but Dubas usually gets his work done beforehand. The bigger acquisitions he's made like Muzzin tend to happen well before the deadline. Gio might be the exception.
If we are going big I like chychrun as a target. Our defense when healthyYep. What's interesting though is that the Leafs cap space will come in the form of LTIR for Muzzin.
This means that it doesn't accrue or grow as the season goes on. Muzzin's $5.6m on the cap means we can get a $5.6m dollar player, or a $10M at 50%, but the space does not grow as the season progresses.
So, we have no incentive to wait to make that trade. Dubas' can strike early. Our D will be solid, maybe we pick up a veteran D to bump Mete to 9th on the depth chart, but I am good with...
Rielly Brodie
Sandin Liljgren
Giordano Holl
TDL Vet Benn
Hollowell could turn himself into an asset as well. We can expect to add Knies, but no reply on him.
I like the idea of a 3rd liner or two..maybe Knies/Malgin/Robertson will show they can fill one of those spots.
Defense can be secondary ndary scoringSecondary scoring should be #1! Defense is not the issue on this team honestly!
I agree but we don’t have the cap to make that happen
Scoring depth. We’re too thin for the playoffs. Trade Engvall first chance we get too.
Woah slow down there bud. For all we know we will have 2 goalies and 2 stars out due to injury by then. Let's revisit this bad boy the month leading up to.
An offensive driver for the third line
I think you will be very disappointed if you think Knies will be able to step into the NHL and be a difference maker for Toronto, probably could handle himself on a 3rd/4th line, but anything more then that I think you will be disappointed.Sign Knies. Add a physical forward. Add a crease cleaning D man who can actually play
