I hope this isn't the last time i see thm in the final.

First it was getting to the playoffs after a decade of not being in it.

Second was winning some series but not getting out of the second round.

Then we finally made it to the conference finals but ran out of gas.

In AVs first year we make the final with a fantastic effort and now they've learned what it takes to win.

Hopefully all of this makes the next step even sweeter.

For the Rangers, thank you for a fantastic year. Almost a year of hockey you gave us. Henrik Lundqvist, you are a champion in my book. 3 wins from the Cup, and 3 losses in OT which could have gone either way. I'm proud of this team, they deserved better but someone's gotta lose.

Congrats to the Kings and their fans, they area great team and earned it.

At least they redeemed themselves in these last two games. But Game 2 will haunt me until the Rangers win another Cup.

This team will be better next year. We would've been up there with Pittsburgh points wise if they didn't have to get used to a new style of play.

No doubt. The adjustment period was so long it had me doubting whether or not we hired the right guy. Proved me wrong.

Also, love the fact that we didn't get swept. Hank willed us to a game 4 win and almost to a game 5 win along with the rest of the guys. What an OT.

In the end the Kings simply were the better team than our guys. Plain and simple. No *****ing about the refs from me. If you only pot 4 through what, 210+ minutes of hockey, it's gonna catch up to you. If you blow 4 2 goal leads in a series and one more 1 goal lead it's gonna catch up to you. If your PP is running at about 10% it's gonna catch up to you. If your top paid guys bring nothing in the SCF it's gonna catch up to you. If the defense, that is usually your forte makes brain dead plays half of the time, it's gonna catch up to you. Refs were the least of our problems.

That mini-rant aside, I am very grateful for this season. It was the most excited I've ever been watching sports. Lets hope Lundqvist can hold up for 3-4 more season and perhaps we can get something going again.

To finish this season, there's nothing else for me to say than

LET'S GO RANGERS!

Come on. Don't be that fan. They won 3 OT games and made all the right plays when necessary.

Hate to admit it but I think they win Game 2 and 5 with or without the refs help.

How the hell do you say that? They took the game to OT with a gift goal in Game 2. At the VERY WORST this is 3-2 going back to the Garden on Monday, because we could've killed that penalty.

O'Halloran should get his name on the cup.

I just can't help but think that with a few different bounces this would be us.

**** the bounces. How about two blatant calls that literally cost us two games?

They weren't ticky tacky calls that were "Oh, they should/shouldn't made that at this point in the game in the SCF!" They were just complete farces.

Still fuming.

Can't remember ever seeing a more even 5 game series.. So proud of this team to get it this far despite getting jobbed a couple times. Hell of a season. Also, Rangers should have played the thirds like they played all of these OTs.

Kings fan coming in peace.

You guys were a very worthy opponent, much more than some pinheads gave you and the East credit for. Had me nervous the whole way. Lundqvist is, imo, the best in the league, no disrespect to our own amazing goalie.

The effort you guys gave in the playoffs and the run you made was very inspiring and, if we would've been bested this year, I would've preferred it be by your team.

I have no doubt you'll be back strong next year.

Reffing directly cost us two wins. It's pretty hard to lose this way, so you know what? **** being gracious, and **** the NHL refs. This was a disgrace, and I'm not going to smile and say thank you after I've been reamed in the *******.

**** this league.

Pretty hard to take when a part of you thinks the league wanted this outcome and did what they could to get it.

I don't buy pure incompetence or inconsistency.

Not for nothing, the Kings were offside at least 10 times tonight and it wasn't called. Every single time a play can be whistled as an icing against the Rangers it was called. The Kings iced the puck three or four times and it was waved off.

That hybrid icing rule is just another way that the league can screw somebody.

Proud of our team hell of a year..the ups were amazing and the downs almost killed us... hopefully teams in the east will respect the rangers now

Tough loss, but just an awesome season.

And I think if we do it right in the offseason we can be back. I really do.

I won't lie as a fan watching the games, I thought the Staples Center crowd BLEW OUT the crowd at MSG. Of course, they were great endings for them, but throughout the game, I thought they were just louder.

Honestly, I don't think we can say Hank hasn't won anything anymore. While technically true, he played this series well enough to win. The team just sat back in too many 3rd periods and the refs were a joke. Just a joke robbed us of TWO wins.

YOU need to remember this going forward. You go on a ton of rants on Hank during the season. He proved he is worth his contract in this series. He proved why in my mind he is the #1 goalie in the league with this series. The guy played a tremendous series and playoffs this year.

I saw nothing from the Kings to make me think they are on another level from us. Sure they dominated third periods but every single time that was 100% coaching making us sit in a shell when we had a lead. The overtimes were much more even and we had pressure which completely disproves the theory that their physical play wore us down late.

Officiating in this series with a ****ing disgrace and needs to be fixed. Game 2 we essentially directly lost because of it and while we still might have given up the typing goal without that joke of a tripping call (which should have put US on the plwerplay) that specific goal should not have taken place. It's unbelievable how bad it was from non-interference goal calls, to refs decided they don't want to call delay of game on puck over glass, to just blatantly getting tripping wrong.

AND PLEASE PLEASE GET RID OF HYBRID ICING. Constant misapplication of this rule KILLED us. We're a team that could win a lot of those races with our speed and DO win a lot of them and the Pejorative Slured linesman just auto-call everything icing even when it's clearly wrong. Either go back to what we had or go straight to no-touch. None of this garbage where the refs flip a coin and decide whatever the **** they feel like calling.

Offseason plan:
Buyout Richards
Let Boyle go since I'm assuming he's going to get an excessive offer
Resign RFA Zucc/Brass
Resign Pouliot/Moore pending contract requirement.
Either trade Staal/resign Stralman or let Stralman go and use the money to faciliate a trade for a Center or puck moving right defenseman.
Find a top 2 line center whether its FA type Grabovski/Stastny or a Spezza

I do not think I am for keeping Stralman and Staal. The lack of a offensive right defenseman really hurt our powerplay and killed our chances for one timers. All 3 of our right defenseman now are good defensively and have almost nothing on offense. While Stralman was great this year we need more of a balance. These players are obviously expensive though as I certainly don't want a Del Zotto type defensive disaster.

The 5 minute drive back to my girlfriend's house was solemn as ****.

Well, it was a good season no one could have ever predicted. It almost seemed like destiny for awhile. Congrats to LA. Next year they will contend again and be a better team I am sure of that.

Sometimes you have to know what it is like to lose before you know what it takes to win.

p.s. RIP RICHARDS PEACE OUT YOU SCRUB PIECE OF **** GET ****ING LOST LOSER! Thanks though for stepping up at times.
