Dubas gives away draft picks like candy on Halloween. I'm not sure he's the best guy to be an amateur scout for.

Because why should you force someone to be where they don’t want to be? If he doesn’t want to work for the organization you let him go and bring someone who wants to work for the leafs and give their all to the role, simple.
Oh ya, I know.
But I guess reports are that he’s training his protege, and the team has three total picks, the second will likely be traded and rounds 4-7 are his wheelhouse. So a ceremonial promotion for one year would be cool.

Dubas was fired. Spezza, Charron, Elkin and now Clark joined Dubas. Belfry got hockey ops for an ECHL team while Gilman was coming to the end of his contract. How does that compare to turnover at other teams? What does it gave to do with Shanny?

When Shanny found òut he said bye bye. He was suckered. Good old Leafs never went after Pitt.
Dubas just wanted time with his family...total bs.

Tverberg was a great pick in the 7th round. Almost made team Canada, which is unheard of for a 7th rounder. Was near ppg in NCAA and had 32 pts in 46 games last year in his first season in the AHL. He is tracking really well and will be knocking on the door for 4th line soon.

Ok....3 guys that are not in the mold of "Meh" for size....how about the rest? Just look at the UFA's that Dubas signed a few weeks back....they are literal clones of each other in size....all under 5'11" and 190.
You mean the AHL team that won the championship with a bunch of ringers? We were paying some good AHL talent 200-400K to play here...that went a long way in winning.

They're busy winning regular season trophies. That's King to many in Toronto. Oh yeah, also regularly in the ECF. Maybe with Tim Lillegren or Ty Barrie they'd have the Cup. According to my calculations.

Wes Clark is leaving in part for the damage Dubass had inflicted on the Leafs prior to his leaving in terms of surviving draft picks and the prospect pool.. When Dubas left the Maple Leafs organization back in the spring of 2023, he left his successor, Brad Treliving, with very little in the way of meaningful draft capital for the following UPCOMING 3 seasons of high (Top 4 rounds 120 players).
Dubas was fired prior to last season 2023-24 and our Maple Leafs don't own their own 2nd round draft pick until 2027
. That means Dubass used 2nd round draft capital 2024, 2025 and 2026 (3 years into the future) to fuel past playoff failure that already occurred prior to leaving in 2023. Even worse still the Leafs need to surrender their 2025 or 2026 1st rounder to pay off the Jake McCabe trade. Per the conditions of the McCabe deal in 2022, the Leafs' 2025 1st round pick could actually slide to 2026, as the 2025 pick they sent to Chicago was "top-10 protected".
Are the Leafs actually going to be a bottom 10 team in the league this season? Well, no - they likely won't be. However, as long as it's mathematically possible for the Leafs to drop into that bottom-10 range, it appears as though they won't be able to move the pick. Regardless of hamstringing Treliving with ridiculous trade clause years into the future, he also handcuffed Wes Clark because its still either/or 2025 or 2026 that his heading to Chicago to pay the piper for that trade. No pick so No work to do.
Wes Clark is like a RAT leaving a sinking Leafs prospects ship, all inflicted on Toronto by his new boss in Pitts at the expense of his former boss in TO, both the same person. So he scurries away and the next poor Amateur scout for Toronto has to walk into a job recovering from scorched earth damage inflicted by those no longer able to be held accountable.

Just trade McCabe for a 1st+, it is easy, you will all stop whining, and we will get worse.

Without BT trading back and acquiring Florida's 2nd rounder in 2025 the Leafs had ZERO picks in rounds 1 - 4 of this upcoming 2025 draft with their own first selection available the mid 5th round.
