Let the record show that most of this board wanted Carbery of the alleged finalists in the coaching search. We should put in our résumés to run this franchise as a collective.

As an aside, Edmonton is in legit trouble. They are a baaad defensive hockey team even if they do solve their goaltending issues

Ovechkin is going to score the tying goal and record goal against us, isn't he?

Has to score 11 goals in the next 7 games to do it, given 6 of those at home it's certainly possible .

Though I think that would be a pretty cool thing to see in person. I'm not sure I see anyone getting anywhere close to Ovie/Gretzky in terms of goalscoring again anytime soon.

The Capitals are just incredible.

Everything has gone right for them this season. All the older players who were close to being done have had good to great seasons and then a couple of young players have emerged. Dubois, Chychrun and Strome are going to have career years. It's kinda ridiculous. They have stayed healthy as well.

Agree they’ve had some good fortune but they’ve also made several shrewd moves that have contributed to this season

You compare what they’re management has done in comparison with Pittsburgh’s and it’s pretty staggering

Also don’t agree that this is a career year for Chychrun - he’s just finally on an actual team where he fits for the first time in his career. He’s a top 15-20 Dman in the league IMO and was coming into the year
