Gotta say, if I was at the game, Iwouldn't be mad. Really entertaining game, and its not like they were getting murdered, the close calls and chances got the crowd engaged.

Scrivens should start in the game on Wednesday, no doubt.
He's let in 3 goals in 6 periods of hockey, and the 1st goal there was NO CHANCE. A goalie needs goal support in order to post wins, and you can't pray for 2 in the last two mintes of a game. Simple as that.

Kadri needs to work on faceoffs, but outside of that, should be playing with Lupul and Kessel.

Kostka is all heart, just not sure if he has the chops for the league. Send Frasor back to the AHL, and get Gardiner in here.

2nd line is showing small signs of life, just not clicking right now, probably needs to play less than the 3rd right now, but they'll get it together.

We're better defensively this year, but struggling to score. We'll come around, it'll just be a matter of whether or not it's in time to salvage anything, or are we picking high again?

I'll be happy with either a surprise playoff appearance, or a top-5 pick. In between is a failure either way.

How is it a failure if one of the youngest teams challenges for a playoff spot and misses it by a few points? As long as we show growth, there is no failure this year.

What game were you watching? Scrivens played well. This loss had nothing to do with who was in our net and everything to do with who was in theirs. Stop trying to point the blame. Sometimes a loss is just a loss.

Kadri was tremendous

Lupul's attempt made me flip ****, I was really hoping it went in fairly...whatever.

Kessel was great, but if he got that forehand on the shot at the end damn...it'd be in OT.

Kostka was excellent imo. He wasn't slow at all, very patient with the puck and really stalls the other guys. Great pairing imo.

Gunnarson looks to be nothing out there without Dion.

KGM sucks now, trade Mac for a 2nd pronto ..should have taken that first rounder last year.

Holzer was good for his first game, fraser will probably be sent down...Where was JVR tonight btw? Besides that good run in the 3rd he really seems out of shape...I hope he can get his **** together...

It really came down to the KMG line. They were out there for both goals.

Kulemin with a weak effort to get to the point, And Grabo with way to long of a shift on the second. Blown coverage by Gunnar as well.

Not to sound like a homer but were better team, But Miller was the difference.

Lots to build on I like what I saw from all defensemen(Phaneuf and Holzer especially), The PK was miles better.

if u were talking about the 2nd goal, can't blame Gunnar for getting interfered with on the Sabres blue line

Sloppy and rather boring game for the most part. By both sides.

We definitely gave up too many odd man rushes, were once again not in-sync in the offensive zone, and there was far too much individual play. However, we outplayed them. The difference in this game was Ryan Miller and two goal posts.

I thought the Grabovski line started to play better as the game went on and what a performance by Bozak in the faceoff circles in the final minutes. What a fight by Orr too. Scrivens was solid, if a little shakey. Could hardly be blamed for the loss. JVR has been disappointing these past two games, but its still early yet. Komarov was less effective this game than last, still relatively solid though. McClement played well again. Kadri, 2G, 2GP, enough said.

It was like the Leafs would get the puck by default after a draw, christ Bozak was good tonight.

Once Gardiner comes back I'm hoping for
Phaneuf-Gunnar
Gardiner-Komisarek
Liles-Kostka
Holzer-Franson

For all his hype Komarov has been underwhelming too.

He needs to be a pest ala Marchand if he want to be of some use to this team.

what game were you watching? he was finishing every check, drew a couple penalties and was buzzing all night in the offensive zone

I said his performance was the Ugly - missed open net at end of game, terribly ineffective on the lengthy 5-3's, and didn't pass to his linemates when the game got to 2-0. Unacceptable for a "pure scorer" who is paid to be the game changer.

ummm he had to reach to get that puck on his backhand and the other guy got a stick on it

We need new lines:

Lupul - Kadri - Kessel
JVR - Grabo - Kulemin
MacArthur - Bozak - Komarov
Brown - McClement - Orr
