If Doughty doesn't sign over this summer, I wouldn't screw around just trade him.

The Kings will offer Doughty a contract to make him the highest paid defenseman in the world, if he turns it down he needs to be traded.

It's one thing if the team was a serious contender, but 1 playoff win since 2014, sorry not going to risk DD leaving for nothing.

Maybe you don't even need an elite dman if you just have 12 forwards that can skate and score. Pittsburgh doesn't. Vegas doesn't.

The Kings need to keep adding to the pipeline and hang on to their picks/prospects. And that's exactly what they've done since Blake got here.

That's why I'm not mad right now. Had Blake traded away a 1st at the deadline for help now, and we were still down 3-0, then I would be pissed.

The lone bright spots have been the kids that weren’t on the team last season. Kempe has been good all series and AI had a good game. The effort is there from Pearson but Toffoli needs a wake up call.

Lmao the bandwagon is legit. Let's see if they can name all 23 on the roster

I’m sure we got fans who can’t name all 23 on the Kings roster.

Meh, every pro team has bandwagon jumpers. The key is not to bust your legs when you jump off.

How many people on here were pumped when Blake signed Toffoli and Pearson to those friendly deals before this season?
At least those are tradable contracts but at the moment the return would be minimal. Have to hope they turn it around next season and rebuild some of that, then maybe you look to deal either or both.

Going to go see the golden boy, Vilardi on Wednesday and Friday, looking forward to it.

Kempe has been an inconsistent mess like a lot of the players on this team. Not harder on him because he's a rookie, but he's showing the same signs of the same illness that infects this forward corp. And Stevens is apparently mad at the media.

"Not a lot of offense, but he's helping us win in other ways." Ah, intangibles...

I absolutely think Jonathan Quick has more mental toughness than any player on the Kings roster. That being said, with this playoff performance to bolster his value, I wonder what Blake can get for him in a trade. No reason for him to stick around for this crap. He might just be the money goaltender a team like the Islanders need. Probably others who might have interest as well.

Kings trade G Jonathan Quick and D Drew Doughty to Toronto for...

Toffoli is out of wake-up calls and chances.

Maybe we are all being a bit hyperbolic in some of our comments and some of the people being moved, but not him. I'd be completely shocked if he is a King next season, just another example of a guy who got paid and got comfortable.

Edmonton is looking for wingers, wonder how the blonde Dodger chick would take to central Alberta in February.

Kings fans will have plenty of time to cry about this during the offseason.

Iafallo
Peterson
Vilardi
Anderson-Dolan
Brickley

5 very nice pieces management picked up in less than a year for our future without mortgaging a thing. They have shown they have an eye for talent.

I am sure after watching the team for a year Blake will start a more aggressive approach to build his team.

It will be a very interesting offseason.

I mean, I said before the game I want to see how they react with Drew and Muzzin back in before I advocate really annihilating things.

Roaring out to a lead and completely collapsing--with key players breaking down on those goals--tells me its time, no matter how good VGK may or may not be.

No doubt, but you have to do something. This is four years in a row, including getting the coach and GM fired, that's more than enough. It's LONG past time to stop ignoring the wings

Yeah. I have no problem if they get rid of everyone, but they'll have to get lucky again to win the Cup. Have to get the right guys in the right drafts. Have to hit on a couple late round picks that won't be known for years. Just like today, it'll probably be a more frustrating process than rewarding.

Whatever they do, they do.

It's good to finally admit it, that's the first step. Trade em all.

They definitely need to tank at some point and get some elite young talent.

They were in the prime position to draft an elite young talent coming off their bad season in 2015. But Dean Lombardi thought that Milan Lucic was the missing piece to get them back to contending.

Hard to overcome how poorly this team was managed those three years.

Yeah, it really hurts to say but it’s the truth...
