Brown was totally useless. Kopitar did nothing. Where was Carter?

Sad time to be a Kings fan.

The reality is all this team has done is shift around fringe players the last several years, some major pieces need to be moved otherwise it's more missing the playoffs or early exits with no light at the end of the tunnel.

No one from the Pacific is getting to the Final.

who do you see beating vegas? nashville?

vegas is playing on another level that I have not seen in a long time. they play such swarming defense, they are all over the puck carrier instantly - it's a small (big?) victory when the Kings can just reach the redline. as jimmy would say, they are taking up the "time and space."

this is ugly.

Disagree. While maybe at first Rieder shouldn't have been down in the corner, as soon as he was with another King Doughty needed to read and react. When he's staring at two black jerseys battling a guy with the puck and he's not near anyone, there are going to be players open. That's on him for not reacting to the situation in front of him.

He could have read it better for sure but there's shared fault there and no excuse for TWO Kings losing that puck battle.

I hope LaDue plays the next game. He is the type of player needed for this game and Stevens decided to put Folin and Phanuef (who game up the freaking Eakins goal). I thought it was a dumb decision when you scratch the only player who scored in the 1st two games. I'm not sure Stevens is the right guy for the team.

---- / Kopitar / Brown
----/ Valardi / Carter
Iafallo / Kempe / ----
Thompson / Amadio /Lewis (who I'd still trade)

The Kings need to get more skilled, way way way way more skilled. I think they give Valardi every chance possible to make the NHL roster as the 2C and have Carter shift to wing.

They need address the winger situation, even if Valardi makes the team they need to address it, if he doesn't and Carter is back at C it's even more magnified.

Back to the drawing board for this team. The question is, how long will Stevens last?

Nashville, Winnipeg, San Jose, Anaheim. Those teams can score goals. Vegas hasn't been particularly amazing on the score sheet.

Carter is still not a 100% that's obvious. He was just horrible.Pearson and Toffoli's talent died somewhere mid season. Bottom lines are full of golden oldies. Kempe should stick to being a full time winger. Reider has yet to arrive to LA. And Stevens just sucks dick, can't adjust during the game until it's too late.

Be embarrassed and lose on home ice and be swept or be embarrassed, and probably blown out, on their ice?

Anyone who can score more than one goal in a game.

Can you imagine if Vegas finds a way to add Karlsson or Tavares?? They'll have to find a goalie soon though since Fleury us up there in age.

I said it earlier, but I hope to god this series is a major wake up call to everyone. This team is nowhere near contention. Nowhere.

It’s time to reshuffle the deck. But after Robitaille’s back patting about making the playoffs, I doubt anything will be done.
I never thought Robitaille should have been placed in his current position. Luc is a good time guy. I don't particularly like Rob Blake, but I am willing to give him a chance.

Now can we trade Carter, Muzzin, Martinez, etc. to get younger and better eventually? I have said it enough times around here, but it's time to thank everyone involved in the 2011-12 through 2013-14 run and move on. It's fine to hang onto selected leaders if management believes they will be a good influence on the youth they must bring in, but the rest gotta go to get the rebuild started.
