The Kings have too many guys that can’t get the job done. I’d keep Kopitar, Doughty, Quick, Iafallo, Kempe and Martinez. Everyone else is expendable at the right price. Especially Toffoli and Pearson.

For as much as people complained about King, surprised Clifford gets such a pass.

He has no business on this roster and gets too many minutes. I thought him and Pearson were gone at the deadline but maybe nobody wanted them and for good reason. Blake also needs to find out why Tyler Toffoli is playing exactly like Mike Richards as the career careened off the path and right into retirement. Why is a guy in his prime unable to skate and stick handle at the same time or simply elevate the puck standing in the slot all alone?

Look guys, the reality is this team is not a contender, not even close. If you want to keep making the playoffs and lose in the first or second round every year like the Kings did in the late 90's and early 00's while cheering on players that were a part of the glory years that is fine, I respect and understand that. But if we want to win championships again in the Doughty, Kopitar era you need to move on from a lot of players you may enjoy cheering for.

I said it earlier, but I hope to god this series is a major wake up call to everyone. This team is nowhere near contention. Nowhere.

It’s time to reshuffle the deck. But after Robitaille’s back patting about making the playoffs, I doubt anything will be done.
