Coolidge building 20k homes on next 2 yrs. They are going to extend Arizona Ave into a mini freeway. Construction starting in October. 2 golf courses being built outside sacaton and Coolidge.Maricopa (City) now has over 65,000 people. It was a gas station and a red light on the way to Ak-Chin casino when I moved here. ("why is this SR 347 4-lane? there's no one here!") San Tan Valley is at almost 100,000. Coolidge, Florence (including the second Anthem!) and Eloy are all going to be huge later this century. Ever heard of Stanfield? You will. Unless Maricopa reaches down and gobbles it up first.
Phoenix Rising FC is already there. I didn't look closely but I imagine that takes up most of it.640 acres (?) Greyhound park hasn't been mentioned in awhile.
Nah, anything right up against Alma School or Southern like that would be fine. It’d be sad that they’d probably have to knock down that in n out and Dutch bros though. Those two locations run that street currently lol
Yes.... Exactly that. Didn't pass muster the first time because IceEdge needed a ton of subsidies right? It would also count as funny because it is still in Tempe, and an old option. ASU doesn't need a public vote, just board of governors approval. Keeps that ASU/Tempe thing going. Serves as home for ASU basketball too. They tear down their current arena and build a dorm or more corporate offices there.Taking Karsten? I think ASU still owns that? Not sure.
Reading this is like the Twilight Zone
Arizona Coyotes announce new arena plans for NHL, ASU hockey - The Arizona State Press
The Coyotes plan to construct hockey facilities for both NHL and college games on ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe.www.statepress.com
Or Metrocenter. It is being demolished right now and a light rail train station there is finished.640 acres (?) Greyhound park hasn't been mentioned in awhile.

Metrocenter is too far into the process to backup.Or Metrocenter. It is being demolished right now and a light rail train station there is finished.
5 yrs ago I went to a hawks game(in April and it was still fricking freezing, Mr. Bigglesworth) with my buddy who lived almost on the lake (the ironically named Chandler Condominiums - he has since given up and moved to Naperville). We took a bus out there, which wasn't terrible, but we Uber'ed it back. Seemed like the prudent decision, plus it was too cold for the baddies to hang around and mug us or whatever, lol.I don't know if any of y'all have ever been to United Center in Chicago. I've been to a handful of games there. That thing is a biblical pain in the ass to get to. If you drive, you're either taking packed one way city streets at rush hour, or going through inbound congestion on the Kennedy (hard no, thats a f***in death trap). It's in a terribly run down neighborhood in the West Loop with the only public transportation still being three to four city blocks away and a homeless camp just two blocks to the North that pops up every other two weeks after the city sweeps it out. The most consistent option if you're coming from the suburbs is to take a 25 dollar cab ride from the Ogilvy center or Union Station
The good news is there isn’t a 8-9mo toxic waste dump remediation project any longer. And they aren’t likely to do anything involving the voters again. So thing will necessarily be accelerated.
My businees had season tickets to hawks games last 8 years, it is a nightmare to get there and not safe 2 blocks from the United center. The logic does not work in AZ, people live here to get away from bad weather and long commutes, they want a better life, long drives don't work over a season for Phoenix residents.I don't know if any of y'all have ever been to United Center in Chicago. It sucks.
I'd be ecstatic with that Fiesta Mall locale my dudes.
90% of the snowbirds live in the east valley. I think the location is fine, it's what is surrounding it that worries me, low income and all. Has much more room to build than TED and it could be a big upgrade for Mesa to brag about, but again that area.My businees had season tickets to hawks games last 8 years, it is a nightmare to get there and not safe 2 blocks from the United center.
