It's really no big deal but who you think is trolling us with the three stars selections? First star in this win was not Moose when it should have been and was Kane instead and last home win two of the stars were not Devils.

I say its Chere.

Agree 100%

OH MY GOD! I dribbled some of my slushy out of my mouth and on my shirt!
Being the best defenseman on the Devils this season is like being the best coach in ThrasherJet history, not a lot to choose from
Started sipping from it some more before reading this, and almost choked again!

The D without Salvador is the D we saw against Carolina last night. As much as you guys like to rag on the guy, he is needed out there.

Salvador stabilized the defense tonight and played a very good game. Volchenkov played easily his best game of the season as well, he was an absolute WARRIOR. I think Zidlicky deserves more love on here as well, he has been so good offensively. I don't want him gone in the offseason - there isn't a replacement for him from inside the organization. Greene-Larsson were our worst pairing tonight in my opinion - that's okay, they're not going to be perfect every game

Overall, the team had another up and down game and it probably shouldn't have gone to OT, but a win is a win. At this point they need to take what they can get and remain positive. I think its coming around - they need a regulation win against the Flyers on Wednesday (very possible).

Last but not least, as bad as Moose has looked at times recently, I think we all need to give him credit for tonight's game. He battled hard, made some key saves, and played very solid between the pipes. I hope he can replicate this performance against the Flyers, given his play against that team over the past few years, I think he will

Greene has easily been our best defenseman this season, people are really gonna rag on him for a mistake or two?

Even if he has been the Devils best defenseman this season (probably agree but arguable, love my boy Fayne), that doesn't mean I can't call him out when I think he has a bad game.

So my take from the game is Clarky stinks... he's the next guy to sit I hope. He has 2 moves front hand to back shoot high and stay behind the net and wrap around. Get in the front of the net like you did in the past and score garbage goals. I'd rather see Matteau play than Clarkson/endrant

And we're still in it!

It's not always pretty, but I say we start a new stat. 2-1-0 in our last three. LGD, gonna keep my faith in yee.

And while I'm willing to forgive Larsson for the occasional mistake since he's 20 years old and has played 85 NHL games, this is Greene's 7th season with the Devils so he gets a lot less slack. I really think Greene dragged down that pairing tonight.

Idk, maybe I'm just the new resident Greene hater.

The Greene-Larsson pairing were responsible for both goals against imo

Greene cost them the first goal by being an idiot and trying to block a floater from the point

Larsson tried to keep the puck in the zone even though there was nothing but Jets in front of him.

Honestly, neither really deserves slack. They know better, and I think they will improve next game. It happens.

It's just that Moose deserves some support and it felt like Greene shot Moose in the foot with that terrible deflection.

Both goals against were really avoidable. Poor Moose !

The most annoying was Kane cherry picking and to see the puck going his way.

Just because he had an amazing start to the season and isn't playing up to those number anymore is the only reason i can think that you would believe that.

if thats the case, sit the entire team. but clarkson by no means should be sat.

Yeah I didn't like that goal by Greene either. I really didn't like the idea that Moose with fragile confidence was scored on by his own teammate.

Good grief, they "beat" Winnipeg in a shootout and suddenly the ship has been righted...

No one's saying that. We're saying today wasn't a complete disaster like most of the recent games. If Greene's accidental tip doesn't go in, NJ only allows one goal for the entire game. Hedberg came to play today.

The Buffalo SO win was nothing to be happy about because they were looking at being shutout until the last 6 or 7 minutes against a bad backup goalie. Pavelec, on the other hand, is a good goalie and NJ got tons of chances. NJ scored first and had a multi goal lead. One more goes in and NJ wins in regulation.

BABY STEPS FFS.

Everyone says players were playing great lets say we lost in the shootout everyone would say "we suck".

Um, no. When the team gets blown out 5-0 some on here still give certain players credit for playing well.

Sheesh, some of you guys are really party poopers
