The Lokovy line is a puck possession beast, even Kovalchuk starts to cycle the puck correctly now, very promising. Poni's got to get his groove back though, he has zero confidence and makes unusual mistakes.

Kostopoulos is a nice addition, a legit NHL 4th liner but the Barch line got pinned back quite a few times tonight, especially when Wheeler and co were out there against them, they had a great amount of scoring chance. Our 4th line is clearly playing bend, don't break defence but DeBoer should think about avoiding this kind of lopsided confrontation.

He's not a top 6 forward. If there's any problem with Pete right now, it's expecting Ponikarovsky to play like Zubrus. Devils were at their best last season with Poni on the third line. He'll have his flashes of brilliance, but he won't ever be a consistent offensive producer.

Seriously though, how much of a gem is Blake Wheeler? The guys has developed a LOT since he came to Winnipeg. I remember a scared perimeter player for the Bruins a few years ago, someone who would throw an occasional hit but preferred distributing the puck to carrying it or doing board work. Now I see a smooth, confident skater that carries the puck with a purpose and is a threat from everywhere in the offensive zone.

Winnipeg has a hell of a player here.

He was like that just months after the trade to Atlanta. Sure he`s developed very nicely since 2011, but during the WCH in Slovakia, he was already your best offensive player. And he was nice to me when I met him, that`s a plus too. :sarcasm:

Now we're second-guessing Henrique's stick blade when he might have been leading the team in goals if he wasn't hurt at the start of the season? When everyone else and their grandmother is also in a scoring malaise?

It's called "frustration".

We are ticked that the Devils players(at least the ones we expect to be scoring) aren't providing much offense.....

I just think that Adam can do much more than just score on the PK. Devils don't score that often on 5-on-5 play, do they?

who is going to be the first person to change their user name to Henrique's Blade? no homo

Maybe Zubrus would mesh better with Loktionov and Kovalchuk when he returns (and of course, if Lou does not improve the team via trade)

I think he would, he's gotta better hands and he's a better playmaker. Poni can't do much with the puck besides shoot, keep it, and shovel it up to the points.

Wheeler can go scratch. Pile of garbage. Same with kessel, wheeler, Vanek, okposo, Ballard, goligoski, Leopold, etc. **** em all

Like 'em or not, the Devils could really use a guy like Wheeler right now.

Well it doesn't seem to be working.

He should go back to his original blade.

To be fair the forward group collectively hasn't been doing too well for a while now. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the change. Let's see how he continues to play for the whole season and if he is still struggling then hopefully he takes it upon himself to change.

Personally I wouldn't mind Carter on the 1st line for a game. We only have five top 6 forwards anyway, and that's if you even count Loktionov as one. Our first line LW has been a brothel all season. We've had some pretty weird first lines this year, so I don't see how they could get much weirder.

Zubrus-Zajac-Kovy for like 2 or 3 games, Tedenby-Zajac-Kovy, Josefson-Zajac-Kovy, Matteau-Zajac-Kovy, Poni-Zajac-Kovy, Henrique-Loki-Kovy, Poni-Loki-Kovy, Matteau-Loki-Kovy.

Henrique-Loki-Kovy or even Zubrus on the wing have probably been the best ones.

Tallackson is my most unfavorite BUST prospect we've ever had. Actually I think he's my most unfavorite draft pick we've ever had PERIOD.

I know he has some ailment or something, but he's been producing at or just below a point per game overseas. I cringed every time I saw this guys name brought up. People always said to bring him up cause he can play PP/PK, play opposite Elias, etc. That guy was garbage. Just absolute pathetic garbage.

Just remember, if we had taken Keith instead of Tallackson, chances are good that we wouldn't have Larsson. So it's hard for me to complain too much.
