Still salty we weren't able to play the Dolphins even relatively healthy. Should be 4-0!
I think even with the injuries going into the game if that game was played in relatively normal temps instead of Satan’s armpit to where guys were dropping like flies from the heat we probably win the game.

Poyer is an absolute stud. Hyde too. Felt like a tougher task than it should have been when debating certain players' relative value/ability with some of you guys over the summer.

In Beane we trust - but it will be tough to see him go if/when it happens.

I think he was kind of already pricing himself out of Buffalo with the rumors he wants top of the market safety money. But if he keep intercepting balls at this rate he’s gone, because he will most likely get that top of the market money he’s (rumored to be) after.

This has been super noticeable. It was a bit of a complaint of mine in season’s past. Sometimes the Bills would make good adjustments but other times it seemed like they struggled.

This year their halftime adjustments on both sides of the ball have been maybe the best in the NFL, or damn near it.

There's obviously more to his game than interceptions on a stat line - but you could be right.

Edmunds' great form to start the season could make Beane's decisions even tougher as well.

This is the challenge with having a SB calibre team. There will be more guys worthy of getting paid than you have the cap space to actually pay.

There are guys all over the place that need to get paid.

Here are the starters that are UFAs after the season:

Poyer
Morse
Saffold
Edmunds
Singletary
Jackson
Martin

Poyer, Morse, and Edmunds are the three guys that you would really want to keep. But, it might not be something that Beane can pull off.

Heck, they have only given up 7 points total in the second half over the first 4 games.

That is an average of 3.5 pts against per 60.

That is just crazy.

At this point Poyer might be playing himself into his own worst nightmare - franchise tag.

Also, Hyde's neck injury is a big time concern going forward. I think we could afford to lose one of Poyer or Hyde, but both would be tough. Then again- the defense still played great against the Dolphins, and they were missing Poyer + Hyde + a shit ton of other starters.

Coaching has definitely elevated the impact of these players. Having a good pass rush has helped, too. Obviously the additions in the middle + Von, but the development of Rousseau has been outstanding. Basham also has looked good, too, but Rousseau may be on the path to becoming elite. The kid already wqs a great run stopper, but now he's making an impact on rushing the passer. Von is such a good mentor for him.
