What’s their option though? Carson Wentz? Colt McCoy? They’re better off waiting and hoping Cousins or Tannehill shake free.
I don't know if they can wait that long.

I'm not a Jets fan but maybe one of them can chime in here.

AFC South is weak. So, long as Ten is in the mix, they keep Tanny. Cousins, Minny if they don't beat Denver in week 4, face KC in week 5. If they are 0-5, I think they shop Cousins and see if Hall has anything.

LV, if Jimmy keeps throwing picks, may turn to O'Connell sooner rather than later. They have Chargers then Packers upcoming.

You can't wait for a QB. I mean, it's the hardest position to learn. RB, DE, DL can all join a team and be contributing right away. WR needs to be on the same page as the QB or limit their route tree. CB, depends on the scheme. If you are in the same one, ie. one of your former D coaches got a job somewhere else, then it's a quicker transition. But, QB, so much is on their shoulders.

The most important position in North American professional sports, by far.

No Von Miller yet either. D-line underperformed for years under Leslie Frazier. He stepped away and they stepped on the gas.

They’re kinda shit out of luck, nobody’s giving up after week 3. Things might move fast in the NFL but they don’t move that fast.

I hate the Jets.

But they have two choices. They replace Wilson now and thats the end of him as a Jet and you wasted a #2 pick which reflects badly on the entire organization.

The kid does have an arm, he chucked that ball 70+ yards in the air at the end of that game. Saleh is going to have to gauge how badly his teammates have abandoned Wilson and dislike him, going forward. There was a lot of fighting on the sidelines in yesterday’s game. If you keep him in, you go along with a bad season and hope he grows. Let’s face it, the Jets season is over anyhow, might as well try and grow a better Wilson through better scheming and easier play calls for him.

The Jets can make the decision at the end of the year and see it’s Rodgers career is over or not.

It's not about Wilson. He's already wasted. If they care about him they give him a fresh start somewhere else.

It's about the rest of the guys in the locker room.

I dunno. He looked decent in the 4th qtr when they called the plays correctly for him. Played decently
in the 1st game too. Rodgers is done, he can munch on shrooms and smoke all the DMT in the world, he’s not coming back from a torn achilles at age 40. So if I am the Jets, I try to play to Zach’s strengths for the season and see what you truly have. If not, it’s rebuild time…all over again.

I do agree that while Wilson is your starting QB, you need to play to his strengths and his strengths alone. If the D isn't respecting a QB there's no way the running game will succeed anyway so you have to take the Rodgers-designed shit and throw it out the window and redesign it for Cougar Boy.

They had *everything* in the Rodgers basket and had no backup plan. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Get Kirk! Leading the NFL in yards and TDs among QBs. Can't get any better than that!

Didn't the Jets play some CFL guy late last year who could only throw the ball like 15 yards but ran around a bit? What happened to him?
Yep. Chris Streveler(?) or something like that. Literally couldn't throw a NFL football but tried his best.

The Jets with Cousins are a playoff team.

That's how bad Wilson is.

The Jets ownership/management have no one but to blame but themselves for not getting a capable back up QB if Rodgers went down this season. Guess what, he went down 4 plays into the first game.

Putting all your eggs in a basket for Aaron ‘getting psychedelic in a cave’ Rodgers but not having a sturdy back up was stupid.

Also, not addressing the offensive line in the offseason was also stupid. They thought by getting Rodgers buddies on offense was good enough but failed to address the guys up front.

Stupid, stupid management by the Jets.

Even if Vikings would somehow be open to trading Cousins anywhere close to this early, the Jets 1st and 2nd round picks this year are not tradeable as they’re tied up by the Rodgers trade.

Jets really can’t do much at QB

Shannon Sharpe goes ballistic on his Broncos giving up 70

As he should.

The Broncos have had some doozies in the past: all the SuperBowl losses, giving up a 21 point lead to the Bills in like 90 seconds, they are the last team to ot record a 1st down in a game.

I fully expect them to win next week versus the Bears and lose out on the CalebWilliams sweepstakes.

Feilds versus the Broncos D: The Stoppable Force meets the Movable Object

When a team loses by 50 points in the NFL, some of it is lack of effort. Look at some of those touchdowns. It was ole defense instead of trying to make a tackle. That is a team that has quit in week 3.

Looks like Russell Wilson’s entourage ain’t having fun either. I get he’s played better this year but some instances he’s so out of touch.

When can the Brocnos cut bait with Russ?

It's a labor negotiation thing. It's all speculation until the snaps are played. So if Zach Wilson doesn't prove himself a bust, the players union can pounce on him as an "aggrieved laborer" who wasn't given a fair shot to prove himself a success or failure.

I suspect that's why other former 1st rounders still latch on until the can't any more.

That's a load of crap. The Jets are under no (legal) obligation to play him and if he hadn't seen a snap once this year there's nothing the players union could have done about it.

Saleh is a coach, not a fan. He knows Zach Wilson sucks. He knows his players think Zach Wilson sucks. His players know that he knows and they know that he knows Zach Wilson sucks.

Him coming out and stating that does nothing but give the smallest satisfaction to some fans.

He has a 6:1 TD:INT and back to back 300 yard games. This season I think he's a top 16 QB.
