The fact that people are still arguing over Mac and Zappe is wild to me. They both suck.

It’s like arguing if you’d rather have your fingernails or toenails removed.
The quicker we all realize this team needs a complete overhaul, the better off the fans will be. It's easy to blame a QB. But I hope after today we realize how trash we are from top to bottom.

Because its the most important position in football and hardest to find. I want a QB that can run and can throw a pass with velocity while we figure out if they can win. Other teams have functional QBs. Why cant we?

You going to plaster him to the bench for a year or two or is your plan to throw him behind garbage o-line with no playmakers and let him get killed?

How about fix them and bring in a vet QB to absorb damage if needed. Kind of standard rebuild a team stuff.

I agree, this is just a small in season prop thats enjoyable. Cant wait till Thursday for a crack at Pitt

What's enjoyable about a 6-0 loss where our #1RB got injuired and our QB threw for 141 yards? Let's be honest here, if Jones was under center for this game, you'd be singing a different tune.

As bad as the roster is, the team has lost 7 one-score games. Plug in an average QB and you're looking at 6, maybe 7 wins. Judon and Gonzalez don't get hurt, who knows where this team would really stand. Sucks you can't trust Belichick to draft or with O personnel decisions anymore. Modern NFL offense passed him by years ago,

It's a predictably silly response from the Zappe fan club. They've been waiving their Bailey pom poms for two years now claiming the only issue stopping this team was Mac Jones and that the team would look far superior if Bailey was starting.
There is no fan club. There might be one poster who thinks the only problem is Mac Jones. But Zappe was less of a disaster today than Mac has been. Fact not opinion. And yet the team still got shutout. Scary to say the least.

We all know Zappe is starting from a low baseline, we all know the team is awful, it's just silly to take some victory lap about him being worse than Mac, when it was one game, his first start in forever, where he wasn't even terrible as Mac has been, and when he didn't even have their 2 best players on O, Rham and Pop. Literally no one is saying he's the solution or the future to anything. I'd still rather watch him than Mac.
Yep. I will never understand the need to trash Zappe when he is supposed to be worse than Mac. Supposed to be a lot worse in fact. And he's not. He might not be any better but he sure as hell ain't worse than what we have been seeing from a broken Mac Jones.

I truly think the only game they can win is the season finale at home against the Jets. The Steelers offense sucks but all they will need is 10 points on Thursday. 2-14 going into that Jets game and hopefully a shot at the #1 pick. If they secure the #1 pick in that final game they should carry Belichick off on their shoulders with a "we're #1". Gillette will be electric.

You missed the drafting the QB early part I guess. For clarity, this pick should be the best QB on the board, regardless of your fear of them busting.

But why draft a QB when you have bigger needs. If the plan is to fix the o-line and play a vet QB then get him some weapons? MHJ could come in a give a vet QB a playmaker to get the ball to. You could take MHJ in the 1st and likely get a guy like Bo Nix in the 2nd round.

well Parker had a yardage high this year from a QB who hasn't started in over a year.

MHJ and Nix would work as well. Only because MHJ might be generational. I dont want a tackle and the 8th rated QB in 2nd and 3rd round. High picks give you the best chance of getting a franchise QB regardless of bust rate. We have needs all over the roster, so that argument doesnt work. QB is still most important.
