Zappe and Herbert pretty close in QB rating today, field position game in bad elements

Not only did they score no points, they never threatened to score points. Trying to spin that because the guy you’ve been clamoring for the last two years is silly. Just accept reality. He sucked. He’s not a pro quarterback.
Zappe will be starting next week so you gotta get used to it. 2-9's benching is his own fault. This is Zappe's 3rd career start so he's still green with no experience

You’re missing the point and you have been all along. I’m not pro mac or anti Bailey. I’m saying they both suck and are not good enough to play. I’m all for Zappe to play next game because he’s even worse than Jones, and I want them to lose and fire the piece of shit head coach. So by all means, yes please. More Zappe all day long. LOFL

But let me ask you something. What did you like most about his play today? The five and a half yards per completion? The 5 sacks he took? The constant throwing behind his players? The constant throws to the other teams defensive backs? The inability to sustain a drive? The lack of points? Because I honestly don’t know how you watch that abortion of a game and think that was remotely acceptable

3rd career start. Next week if he improves its a GOOD THING for the New England Patriots. The toxic culture of everyone is terrible and needs to fail to uplift Mac and get Bill fired needs to go. The defense looks great, its encouraging for next year if they get that top pick QB.

It's Zappe's first start in an over a year. Everyone is so quick to judge.
Excuses don’t become you. He sucked not because of the lack of starts but because he’s a limited player and simply not good. That’s why every team passed on him in the summer when his own team cut him, and why every team would pass on him now. His inaccuracy was atrocious today. Everything was 4 yards behind his receivers. Which is hard to do given most of his throws we’re traveling less than 3 yards.

That’s who he is. Was a brutally awful pick when Bill reached for him in the draft and 2 years later he still sucks.
too bad he didnt haul that in, would have been a huge day along with the 39 yard run. Narratives would have been on life support in all directions

You said he did great today too. Does that make it true? Nope. He was trash.

well game 3 of his career starting, we were told to give Mac how many years and he was a 1st round pick

People arguing about Bailey Zappe either doing great or not... NE is 2-10. Shouldn't be having this discussion at all, lol. I wish they'd keep throwing Mac out there to secure 2nd and possibly 1st pick. As Bill would say, we're on to '24-'25.

You can say that about Parker, JuJu, Boute, and Thornton this season for Mac as well. Lots of close plays that the receivers failed to make. It's their MO because like I've been saying, they're not a good group. They're all garbage, in fact.

Whether he's 3 games in or 300, Zappe is what you see. A limited player with a low ceiling. You want to make it about Mac vs Zappe but in reality, most rational people understand both aren't good enough. But hey, you do you and die on whatever hill you want. Just remember to be honest with yourself about it instead of this bullshit you're spinning here about how Zappe looked. He wasn't good at all. If he plays more, they're going to keep losing, which is perfect.
