The problem starts at the top with Shanahan. Letting Lou go and promoting Dumbass to GM is the leafs biggest downfall. Then Dumbass fires Babbs and replaces him with Sheldon who really sucks as a coach. This team is being run by Matthews and Mariner and it is always a disaster when players control the team. If dumbass was smart he would hire John Torterella and give him the green light kick some players ass and take back control of the team. If Matthews, Mariner and co don't like it. Tough. Trade them for equal value. Oh but this would require a GM that realy knows what he is doing. Because Dumbass would trade them for bags of pucks. When Lou was GM this team was going in the right direction.
Incorrect.
Also nicknames means you have no argument.

i said multiple coaches in 2 years due to a team tuning them out. not random coaching changes that led to cup wins lol.

how about bring in players that have IQs high enough to not make braindead passes 20 times a game, game in and game out. players that can play a system correctly etc. its like you have a carton of sour milk and your solution is to change the carton instead throwing out the milk and buying different milk(best analogy i could come up with on short notice lol)
I think it is more like you ordered steak at a rest but they kept sending you different fishes and pastas.

Experts, what’s the corsi on this one?

The expected BS/60 is off the charts my man. Off the freakin' charts!

hell it leads all the teams of all years in the league heck it leads the very first time someone played with a stone and a tree bark on a frozen pond.

even einstein bows down to BS per 60

I'm not defending Tavares or anything here, but i always find it interesting how for years people complained that no one wanted to sign here, and then people actually want to sign here like a high profile name like Tavares, and people are like "well. it's his fault, he screwed up the cap, blegh blah bluee." and if he didn't sign here. the same bunch of people who are crapping on him now, would be crapping on him that he didn't just like a heck of a lot of you did with Stamkos. and if the management DIDN'T try going for Tavares you'd be pooping on them for NOT doing it. - give or take the small few who were consistent about not wanting him.

you can't have butter on both sides of your toast and expect a clean plate. the end.

the problem with this team is them bending over and doing every single thing that the young people on this team wanted. the end Whatever they want. management submits to them as if this team is Chicago or Pittsburgh and won something during their ELCs. they didn't.

Quite frankly, they should have bridged all of these guys. Nylander, Matthews, Marner. tell them they would get their paydays when they won/accomplished something. if they Subban it up, then great. pay them. they accomplished something. I get their hockey players and they arrogant or whatever but these guys have no respect for their opponent - if they did they'd show up and play on time. they wouldn't have an attitude of "well we're so damned good, we don't have to show up until like the third period, we can put on a show and entertain people." they don't want to do the things that ensure results. they want to make the fancy highlight plays. when people in the media rightly call on them, they give smart mouth answers like again - they've accomplished something - which. they haven't. minus like two people. (Jack Campbell and Jason Spezza)

They don't have respect for their fellow players. they don't have respect for this fanbase. (as a collective whole). they don't have respect for the management (because truthfully, most people WOULD have traded some of them but dubas had faith in them, and they respond by looking like utter poop the first several games of the season? way to pay that faith forward). So quite frankly, you can fire anyone you want. but until that all gets addressed nothing is going to change.

and the fact that we have to say this again about a version of the maple leafs is disgusting. and what's worse most of the people on this team now we've drafted. they are super talented. they don't eve have the "but man theyaren't really that good" excuse.

which is pretty much why im not bothering watching this team. because when you burn it all down, and basically end up with a more talented version of entitled crap that you had before. what's the point?

I've said it over again, it's an organizational issue. Unless that changes nothing will. It's why players who leave Toronto find success. They are learning something in those organizations that is not being taught here.

Is there a Space Jam going on right now? Did a bunch of Aliens sneak down to Earth and steal the talent of Mitch, John, Auston, and Jake?
I cannot recall such a dramatic change ever, in any sport I follow. Usually it's a player or team's slow decline and you can see where it's leading. But yeah, this is pretty shocking and kinda supernatural that they've all lost it at the same time.

How many lessons does one need to learn again and again and again and again and again.....

The leafs are that kid in school that sits in the back corner fiddling with their pencil staring at the chalkboard just praying for the day to be over. They don't actually learn any thing.

Well, until they got no answers. Which seemed to be now.
Nomatter how we criticize the way they played, as long as they are winning or AM scoring goals or MM getting points or someone important is out injured- Hyman in a few yrs ago and JT in the playoffs, bad goalie, got out goalied or coaches fault….They won’t learn.
But now they ran out of excuses, no significant players is injured, can’t be the coach again, they also ain’t scoring, goalie is actually keeping them in the game.
If they still don’t learn to play properly like out working the opposing teams, they will continue to lose.

It is in the process, will be up and running soon.
The current OMEGA stats bet is will the website be running first or Marner scoring first.
My money is on OMEGA cause I'm sure it'll be up before Christmas. I don't think Marner will score till we're officially eliminated from the playoffs where he'll then proceed to score 20 and his fanboys on here will say that justifies his salary.

Why are the core guys not to blame here? They're the only ones that haven't been changed or tinkered with.
Exactly, the top guys need to be accountable. They are not producing, nor playing hard and the team is losing. I don’t know why they are not at fault.
Yes, Dubas screwed up the Cap with his contracts.
Keefe might not be a good coach.
But the players still need to perform, only a few of them are and that’s the problem. Players need to perform.

I think his fans are already pointing at that 2 on 1 with Kerfoot not even getting a shot as evidence that Marner is not as bad as his stats. Or how he chipped a tooth showed he is playing physical and give a damn.
