Post-Game Talk: We suck - Leafs lose 4-1

i said multiple coaches in 2 years due to a team tuning them out. not random coaching changes that led to cup wins lol.

how about bring in players that have IQs high enough to not make braindead passes 20 times a game, game in and game out. players that can play a system correctly etc. its like you have a carton of sour milk and your solution is to change the carton instead throwing out the milk and buying different milk(best analogy i could come up with on short notice lol)
 
The problem starts at the top with Shanahan. Letting Lou go and promoting Dumbass to GM is the leafs biggest downfall. Then Dumbass fires Babbs and replaces him with Sheldon who really sucks as a coach. This team is being run by Matthews and Mariner and it is always a disaster when players control the team. If dumbass was smart he would hire John Torterella and give him the green light kick some players ass and take back control of the team. If Matthews, Mariner and co don't like it. Tough. Trade them for equal value. Oh but this would require a GM that realy knows what he is doing. Because Dumbass would trade them for bags of pucks. When Lou was GM this team was going in the right direction.

I miss Hyman as much as the next guy, but folks really be out here lamenting the loss of Tyler Ennis? These are dark times.
 
The losing streak bothers me but they had been literally out worked completely the last three games. It is like they think it is still pre-season.
I don’t care how talented some of the players are or think they are, you need to work for every single thing.
I don’t want to go back to the dress code again but it seems like those who dressed to work-Spezza, is one of the few who is giving an effort.

Zach Hyman is on a shooting bender. He joined a team that got swept last year so I guess he may help them win a playoff game this year?

I am not worried about losing Zach Hyman. I am worried about having Marner. I'd love to lose that guy and his cap hit off the team.

Keefe is an inexperienced coach no doubt but this piss poor lineup is on Dubas. The players he let go and brought in to replace them are the real problem.

hahahahah well last season it was nice because usually you start the day with matty scoring two goals and holl shutting down mcdavid.

And now I can watch the train wreck in hopes of forcing change in management…

also I paid for nhl Center ice so I need to get my moneys worth

I have no doubt all teams use analytics. The problem I have with analytics discussions on hockey forums is they're boring. Baseball needs analytics discussions because of how inherently slow and individualized the game is. Hockey doesn't. Every time zeke goes stat monkey in a post, it reduces my enjoyment of this forum.

I'm not gonna give them a pass for being primadonnas. But being a Leaf is no different than being a rockstar. Young millionaires need to be kept in check and focused on what got them that. Playing hockey. We were on the right track! Then abandoned the plan to roll the dice on some woke rookies that let the kids run wild. We're screwed.
 
Let's keep all these guys together. Throw a effing tickertape parade for the gm & vp. This MLSE board is amazing. Are they so blind they can't see what 99.9% of Toronto sees. Dubas now wears his covid mask just so he won't be recognized. This is the most disgraceful team I have seen since 1967. They don't try, they don't care and they smile when they suck.

This entire organization is clueless on what to do. To the GM, to the coach and to the players.
Also this is not on Keefe. The players have tuned him out to it seems and thats just awful to see. This is a player problem.
