Maybe if you're a little guy, or perhaps, someone who doesn't play the physical style of game that Lucic does. There isn't a player that's an enforcer/power forward like Lucic, who wouldn't have reacted the same way.

Hugely under rated.
Didn't follow his whole carrier, but when with the kings... He wasn't bad at hockey. Legitimately, his reputation proceeded him, and he would get calls for ANYTHING NEAR a penalty... Which could be problematic, but he worked hard here, played well and brought a lot of energy. Didn't mind him on the team one bit.

I wouldn't go that far yet. I wouldn't be shocked with the set of circumstances (the punch, the meltdown, the media comments in combination) if Looch got additional punishment.

So far this season, Lucic has shown he's pretty tolerant for a big man. His reaction tonight was acceptable for the punishment he took.

I have zero problem with it. In fact, I'm glad he's voicing MY frustration with teams taking liberties on the Kings and not getting penalized for it.

No offense, but face washing someone after the whistle is cool. But what he did, a straight up punch to the face, there's no place for that. He knew what he was doing and what happened was expected. If a Coyote did that to a Kings player I'd expect the same thing. There's no place for that in hockey.

That slash is premeditated. Connauton knew exactly what he was ****ing doing and to play stupid after the fact is more cowardly than Lucic's swing.

Sometimes, when you're really angry like Lucic had been, sometimes you don't think, but rather just react. Which is what Lucic did. Not a big deal imo.

Every one of those games has been a circus in some way too. I don't understand their voodoo vs. us. I mean, this year they're legitimately good team (I know, I"m in the minority believing that), but every game they've gotten some crazy break. That won't keep up in the playoffs.

Speed. And like 10 of the 13 goals they've scored have been from shots in the space between the dots and the blueline. Quick is still looking for most of them.

That's the top players scoring for one team, and not enough from the other side. Kopitar has been shut out in 3 of the 4 games. Not picking on him, but Shore, Martinook, and Richardson have the same points. 9 players are outscoring him. Then again Lucic is nowhere on that list, and Gaborik is barely there. Carter has no goals. They'd be lost offensively without Dustin Brown.

And of course, the Kings have a 137-98 shots on goal advantage. Which comes out to 10 more per game. About 34-24. And they've been outscored by 4 goals, 13-9. And again, Dustin Brown leads them in scoring. You're right, it's gotta be voodoo.

Well, you've got all of Canada, especially Quebec. Then you have the fans that hate the Kings, which is basically everyone outside of Florida and North Carolina. And then you have the extra salty ones that occupy the center of the venn diagram - Canucks, Flames, Edmonton. Throw this guy out of the league he's gonna kill someone out there!

I slowed down the replay and it was clear as day. I'm glad he reacted that way and I'm sure he would have done the exact same thing if that happened to another King - and that's why I love the guy so much.

And the punch was nothing. He had his glove on. The acting rivaled Brando's "You never wanted my friendship." scene though.

Outside of the punch, he literally hasn't done anything that is suspension or even misconduct worthy the entire season. Sure he's done some stupid things before, but people who call him a goon or want him out of the league are idiots. Get guys like Marchand, Downie, Garbutt, Scott, Burrows, Rinaldo, and Dorsett out of the game.

Marchand is a pretty ****ing awesome player though. He's been a beast this year.

Lucic has incredible hands and vision. He's been one of the best passers and playmakers on the Kings all season.
