Lucic wasn't happy with the sequence that resulted in his ejection.

He still needs to keep his cool. No need to punch someone in the back of the head. He can go ahead an yell at the guy but don't sucker punch.

Ehhh. As I said in the thread... Didn't cost us our PP, so I liked it.

the usual **** show against the desert dogs. every game they play against LA is the equivalent to a playoff game for them, they live to beat LA. for the Kings these games seem to always be a ho-hum let's play lazy, the end result is what we got tonight.

team as a whole was hot garbage tonight.

here is something new, i'm tired of the line mix ups by Sutter. stop tinkering and trying to "get some guys going" or "a few guys need a spark" by mixing and playing with different guys. its time of consistency at this point, with occasional shift changes. from experience players respond better to consistency rather than being subjected to a continual state of confusion.

Errorhof...i like it, it fits perfectly. i'd rather see Forbort as the 7th and getting time than Erhoff at this point. it just isn't working. when McBain is outplaying you on D, then it says something about your game going south.

its time to call up Mersch again and start rotating guys in/out each game as healthy scratches. time to start resting bodies and minds for the stretch and the second season that is only 3 months aways now unbelievably.

Pearson is trade bait at this point imo. dude needs to find his game asap. back to the lines, really would like to see the 70s line reunite for a some games. let's see if that possibly ignites Pearson, because he has looked lost ever since he lost that line combo. he's jumbled all over the line up and the kid looks lost out there. the kid needs some consistency to try find his game again.

time for Sutter to also start giving Enroth more games and not just the odd game on a back to back. need to keep Quick in form, but fresh. no reason for him with the lead they have to be playing every game

I'm glad Lucic reacted the way he did, the rest of the team have been playing like cowards, at least Lucic stands up and doesn't take crap. He also comes across as a leader to me.

Lucic, on what the circumstances are like going into San Jose tomorrow night:
I think we just have to be ready to play, we have to have a better start, a better first period, it wasn’t there tonight, just got to get back to playing our game as a 20-man unit. You see when everyone shows up to play, that’s when we have success, but when some guys aren’t showing up, it doesn’t work. We’re a team that needs to be team-tough, and that needs to stick together in order to get wins, and obviously throughout the course of a season things aren’t always going to go the way that you hope, and there’s going to be some adversity, and it’s how you get out of it that makes you stronger, and you have to learn how to deal with that adversity. So like you said, another emotional game going into tomorrow night, so we need to make sure that we have a good start.

Easier said than done. Let me try hitting your ankle with the baseball bat and let's see how you react.

I'd see you in court if it was real life and if it was on the ice I would not retaliate. My coaches would bench me for retaliation. I get boarded and speared all the time, I don't usually react. Sticks and hitting are part of the game. If I did want revenge I would coerce you into fighting with me so we both go, not jump you.

Since Pearson has come in I have been a BIG supporter.

He definitely isn't doing anything out there now.

Someone in the game thread said "since his broken leg". His production hasn't been what it should this season, but it wasn't so long ago that people were holding him up as the next Justin Williams, and he was being put onto lines to get them going...

I sure as **** want to see some more come out of him... but lets not be short sighted. I'd like him to stick around and am sure at some point he will pick back up again. Hopefully....April.

No offense, but face washing someone after the whistle is cool. But what he did, a straight up punch to the face, there's no place for that. He knew what he was doing and what happened was expected. If a Coyote did that to a Kings player I'd expect the same thing. There's no place for that in hockey.

I personally think Pearson is hurt. Totally speculation on my part but he just cannot do anything with the puck, similar to what Carter has been going through. And to slot him on the 4th line too...oddly though he got a good amount of minutes and actually had more PK minutes than any player in this game...i really do think there's something up with his hand/wrist/upper body in some way.

I think he's referencing the fact that there was no call until the retaliation. I doubt anyone would disagree that he knew what he was doing.

i.e. no call when someone baseball chops my wrist unless I go over there and sock him in the side of the head.

Neither is slashing at a guys wrist when his stick is caught under a player and a goalie after the whistle.

I am not sold on Schenn.
Not against him... But for the guy who made the trade, and wasn't a favor... Not sold.

Since the conference final.

At home:
5-3, 22GF, 15GA

In Arizona:
3-5-1, 20GF, 25GA

Total:
8-8-1, 42GF, 40GA

This year, the Coyotes haven't scored fewer than 3 goals in any game, while the Kings have scored more than 2 only once.

I don't even think twice about it. I get up and leave. I think only one of my teammates from multiple teams I've been on have ever punched someone in the back of the head. We get in the opponents face and maybe a few face washes and cross checks but nothing severe. It's not a hard thing to do. It's just stupid and embarrassing. We didn't get a penalty from this which was lucky.

No offense but I couldn't disagree more. He thought his wrist was broken, it was an appropriate response especially with no penalty being called.

What level do you play at, and how much is your AAV?
