Since when does Kunitz have a NTC? Every website that has the Pens cap structure doesn't list him as having a NTC.

Shero really, really messed up his last year. I don't know if I trust Madden, but I hope Kunitz isn't enough of an ******* to decline to be moved to Toronto. Babcock is there, that should be some positive incentive.

The guy really seemed to want out at points last year, but I can't see him making it easy on the org either. But since he has some actual value and could hopefully be moved in a different deal, Scuds is the real challenge to get rid of, and should be the priority in the TOR deal.

My friend from Jyväskylä ( he knows Olli, has played with him ) told that Penguins has told they WONT move him. So there is that.

Our media sucks so much that we don't even know who has a NTC on our team. Pathetic. They were so happy that the family member signed a contract here, they didn't ask the terms lol

The late capgeek founder once tweeted that the Penguins spread lies about their contract information (and that they're the only team to do so).

I thought Anaheim might take him, but I think they might just go with Maroon and Hagelin for their top-6 LWs now. Maybe St. Louis would take him.

I just don't think any rumored deal would get Maatta moved. If he is the sticking point for a deal with Kessel then I'll be shocked if Kessel is wearing the black and gold this season. Unless JR panics, and all indications are that at the moment he is playing it cool.

No surprises about who wasn't qualified.

Hartzell is terrible, Payerl got hurt and never got his game back on track and D'Agostino is a generic throwaway AHL defenseman. He's not terrible, but there's like 50 guys identical to him that can be had on AHL only deals without burning an NHL contract.

Scuds wanted to be close to NY. Its only another two hours driving from Toronto. :help:

Yeah I'm thinking that too, it's more likely that we trade for Oshie than we trading Maatta.

Not surprised about Hartzell, guy has been disappointing.

Yeah, but the other two are. They seemed high on Payerl a year ago and they could still usee him. It sounds like D'Agostino has been underwhelming but with the D pool a little thinner it wouldn't hurt to give him another year or two.

Like what was posted above, Payerl got injured and fell out of favor behind potential bottom-6 players like Rust, Wilson, Farnham and Sundqvist and D'Agostino is a dime a dozen AHLer.

honestly happy about this. the pens flyers rivalry is heated enough without a guy you legitimately have to be afraid might lose his mind and do something illegal in a non-hockey sense.

We should take advantage of this. No idea what the hell they're doing over there. I'm sure Flyers fans are thrilled though. Hextall has done a good job so far this off-season.
