I figure....you can always put on a jacket, sweats whatever to get warmer, but there is a point as to how naked I can get (my comfort zone max is about 70 - keep house at 64 in summer, 62 in winter)
You made me laugh. That's true , only so naked you can get.

You are one hot blooded individual with them temperatures. We keep it a little warmer than that around these parts.

Route 20 Western & Central Mass Weather

32m ·

Posted at 3 pm Friday 9/8/2023: We are not even close to being done with the thunderstorm threat for today.
While the first batch of strong to severe thunderstorms is now exiting to the northeast, a new batch of strong to severe thunderstorms are now pushing northeastward from southeastern New York State and northern New Jersey.
Based on the northeastward movement of these storms, it appears that strong to severe thunderstorms will be a threat once again across all of Western and Central Mass beginning about 6 pm this evening and continuing until about midnight tonight. These storms will pose a risk for wind gusts of up to 50-60 mph, pea to penny size hail, torrential downpours and frequent lightning.
I am watching these storms closely and will have updates as needed.
it did rain again. but another reason i love disc golf is i whipped through 18 holes in about an hour and 20 mins.

Yep, I've done rounds in between rounds of thunderstorms. My home course is less than 10 minutes away, so wait for the rain to stop, run out there (bring a couple towels) toss 18, and back home before the next showers hit :D

I'm gotta chime in,

1)Go to bed , when ever I get sleepy.

2) I play guitar but no way would I be comfortable with lead . Can't call that much attention to myself in real life. I'm a rhythm guy.

3) Life changer , when I watched my Dad get ill 2 weeks after retirement. Fought. for his life for the next 7 years until he died . That's why I retired at 59. Worked really hard until I watched him die .then decided work smart , to make that happen for me.

4) my birth certificate name is Gabriele which is the Italian spelling of Gabriel. I don't really have an issue with my name but it has afforded me a lifetime of misery . Either they add an extra l and make it Gabrielle which is the female version of the name or they leave it as such but they change the Mr. to a Mrs. Then there are the multiple shorts for that like Gab, Gabe, Gabo, Gaby and Gabby . Good times.

5) Both my parents are Italian. All my life I identified as Canadian because that's what I thought I was. Until I went to Italy 🇮🇹. Turns out I'm so Italian that the Italians didn't believe I was Canadian, which in afterthought maybe they were right. I never feel so at home like I do then when I'm in Italy, such a beautiful country. It doesn't matter where you are. When the wife retires probably going there to retire.

NeelyDan's Friday Five:

1. What time is bed time?
2. If you were in a band, would you want to be lead vocal, lead guitar, or drummer?
3. Have you had what you'd call a defining moment in your life to this point? If you're comfortable to do so, talk to us about it.
4. Do you like your birth name? Why or why not?
5. Of the various cultures, ethnicities or nationalities you belong to, which most strongly do you consider yourself?
1. During the workweek I try to be in the sack by 10pm. I’d like it to be earlier, but Mrs. 103 gets home 3 hours later than I do, so we try to maximize our time together. On the weekends, 11 or 12.

2. No idea. I have zero musical talent. Let’s go with drummer.

3. One that comes to mind right away is that I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis as a teenager. It changed the course of my life because I had wanted a career in the Army as an Army Ranger. The disease made me ineligible for service in the armed forces, and therefore I remained a civilian. It has been in remission for a very long time, but the Army would not grant me a waiver. It wasn’t meant to be.

4. Yes. No reason why. I just like it.

5. American. I’ve never lived anywhere else, and I would never be mistaken for a national of another country. Two of my four grandparents were from other countries - Canada and Italy, respectively - and they placed great importance on assimilating into American culture and society. That rubbed off on my parents, and I just never identified as anything else. Being a hockey fan has piqued my curiosity about my French-Canadian ancestry, though.

1. Totally depends on the week and day of the week. Like this week, where I'm fitting 60 work hours into 4 work days, bed time has been between 1 and 3 am. Weekends is around 1, when we get tired enough to not start another episode of Suits. During a normal week, it's around 11.
2. Definitely the lead guitarist. Don't have to be the center of attention all the time, only when I want to be. Which is odd, because I puttered around with the bass back in high school.
3. I'm of the opinion that we are the amalgamation of many moments in life, so none of them really "defines" me. Maybe that means I haven't had that "defining" moment yet.
4. Yes. I like having a less common name. The place I'm working has two other Trevors and I'm faced with the same thing people like the Dans and Kates of the world deal with every day - hearing (or reading) your name and then realizing they were talking about a different person. Could also have been much worse. Apparently, my mom was also considering Tolliver as a name.
5. By DNA, I'm mostly Scottish, and that's what I most strongly associate myself with. I have my clan's crest tattooed on my calf, and have been looking at another Scottish-themed tattoo. I may or may not have a bunch of kilt-related websites bookmarked.

I find it hilarious, that even when not actually on Storrow Drive, "Storrowed" is the appropriate word to use.
I just finished rewatching Suits. The first two seasons are still my favorite.

next to the bench
My neighbor has to pick up a friend at the Manchester Airport at 10 p.m..She is nervous about driving there at night and asked me if I would go with her.

First, we are going to Carabbas Italian Grille in Bedford NH. I haven't been there for a long time. Great food. I haven't eaten much today so I will have room.
Of course the flight was delayed and she got in at 1 am

or the sunshine...

Oh, and to prove the point about bedtime, it's now 2:24 AM, and we just finished up about the sixth episode of Suits for tonight. TGIF! (well, Saturday, if you're being technical)
And I made him coffee and he's out the door to do golf stuff. *waves*

True thoughts: I honestly never thought I would live in a hot climate. Now, I live in the almost hottest climate... there's no comparison. Once the landscape hits your senses and the sun becomes the reliable friend almost every day, there's no going back.
When we visit New England, I find myself craving the heat and the wide open space. It takes me a few days to shake the gray cloudiness of the Northeast.

I never ever thought this would be me.

As I get older, there are things I am less tolerant about.....rudeness, incompetence at your job, self centeredness....etc....But man I can't stand heat. Our cars AC are always on low. Home AC 64. Home winter heat 62. I sleep next to the AC, ceiling fan, no blankets. Any day above 75 is too hot for me. 21 months until we move to Maine (I know it gets warm there but nowhere as much as Hudson Valley)

^This is me:laugh: Never liked hot weather and have become even less tolerant as I’ve gotten older. Just slid past age 65 and wondering what age I need to be when I get to be the little old lady who is cold all the time:laugh: I too get grouchy when the temperature edges over 75F. I joke that I have “backwards seasonal affective disorder”=lower mood and energy in sunny, hot weather, start to get happy and energized in Fall and more so in Winter. Coincidental to hockey season….connection? maybe:DD:laugh:
